Took my lil doggy Lucy to the vet today as she was having a habbit of sometimes falling over for no reason and would sometimes briefly shake for no reason. Is alittle conserning seeing that. She is an old dog and thankfully its nothing super serious. Likely she has arthritis and just need to look at fish oil to treat it or probably some injections.
Thoughts to the Lucy dog people......

Geez....where is everyone, has been quiet in here over the weekend. Dont tell me you people actually have productive things to be doing rather than shitposting on here?

Is 4pm and finially have the last bit of my Sunday to myself. Just booted the family out after a Sunday lunch and thats always a drama when my older brother is about. Is always the usual story with him, wants me to do stuff for him, no organisation or research his side, then there are issues because things arnt compatible, then he gets on my nerves, then he goes and I get some deserved peace and quiet. Sounds like our whole brotherly relationship to be honest since day one. Anyone else have this issue? Anyway might see if I can get some Vanduul Swarm action going or might watch a movie, something quiet anyway.

Hey Owl :) Sunday's almost over here. Yesterday was full of work in house and garden, today there was a little bit more lazy time. But some to-dos remain such as making lunch, go out for a walk with the dog, making the dishes ...
Tomorrow's bank holiday here! Wishing you all a nice Sunday and tomorrow a good start into the new week!
Cheers
Sam

Yesterday I was a bit out of it because it was the anniversary of my father's death, never a great day. Tried to bury myself in work, someone brought in cake which really helped! But I was still making silly mistakes and being moody, especially in the evening. My Fiancée really laid into me for my stupidity too. I was determined not to tell her and let my dad's death be an excuse, but then later I was on a phone call to my mum and she overhead us talking about it.

So now my Fiancée is feeling really guilty for being so mean on that day, and I'm feeling shit that this all still affects me so much.

Think I need a good strong drink tonight.

@Lienna.....chin up sailor, easier said that done I know. Loss of a loved one is always a terrible thing and something you may never truly recover from. I guess when your thoughts head south, try to focus on the happy memories. I'm sure thats what your father would want. Best of luck with everything and I hope your day/night will improve.

Sorry to hear about this Lienna. The death of a loved one is never easy, and there's no way to judge for how long it'll affect us. One day a year isn't a bad thing, at all.
And it's certainly not an excuse: It is a reason.

@Lienna In a way, still being affected by his memory to that degree is a good thing. You're still sensitive, you're still passionate, you still care. When you become apathetic about the things that have impacted you the most, that's when you need to be afraid of getting too cold.

Where is our favorite barista? I hope Sam's not sick again. :(

I'm... out of it today. Another too much to think kind of day. You know, that kind of stuff you don't post to Facebook. I also have 2 performances coming up this week that I'm so not prepared for.

As an old man who's lived through a lot and lost a lot... and gained a lot...

Don't spend too much time feeling guilty or letting your partner feel like crap.
There is an old martial arts saying, I believe by Musashi "Focus on yourself lightly and on the world deeply".

When I feel down I usually get angry/bitter/sarcastic/nasty...
When I feel down, I do something to make someone I love smile.
No matter how I feel.
Cuz then I feel better.
Then I feel *good*.

There are many responses to pain. But humor is the only viable response, and love the only sure cure.
So indulge in both.

Doesn't matter who's wrong or who's right.
Doesn't matter were blame falls.
Make her giggle.
Cuddle.

I win all the fights in our marriage :)
So does my wife... =)

(Edit: For me it's my Momma's passing. As she passed on my birthday, I have mixed feelings about birthdays... But I make sure I always celebrate what she gave me)

Hey all, sorry for being off some days: we've had bank holiday and some nice weather, therefore the computer time was limited ;) Yesterday I've been hat our medical university. The result is not good, the lost hearing ability is irreparable. But as a matter of fact I can live with that knowledge way better than with the continuous hope for healing possibilities, which I've had the last couple of years.

Well, I haven't read through the testsquadron forum for a couple of days. I'll do this the next hours/days. Until then, I'm wishing you a nice day!
Warm greetings to you all!
Sam

Did I mention that I like these "Like"-Buttons? Using these I always know which posts I read and which not :D

@Sam K Macer..

On a side note, atleast we have our own German spy that speaks their lingo.....hopefully better than her English anyway! LMAO ;)
Yeah, I'm always a little bit puzzled about which times I have to use and if the verb is an unregular or regular...but anyway, how's your German language doing @Mog_No_1 ? :D

*sigh* :( It's always hard for me to find the right words being a non-native speaker. But as Rolo and MzHartz already have written in very sensitive words I want to join these. Feel being hugged!

Dogs which are getting old... I wouldn't believe that a couple of years ago but slowly I learn - and have to face the fact - that those animals, which live for years as part of our family, become a 100% part of the family and our life. The older our (now 12 years) old "lady" grows, I'm afraid of this one day which for sure will come...some day. Yet hope remains, that this day is a looong time in the future.

I went to a BBQ with @Blind Owl , got home, passed out, woke up.... it's 4am and can't sleep. So discombobulated!
DiscomboWHAT?? Well, at least it sounds like a nice evening. You should do something creative in sleepless nights. Try to do some paintings perhaps with egg liqeur like our good ol' Udo (Lindenberg). -> "Likörelle"

Is it just me or does this place not seem the same without Sam posting up?

Where you at AstroSamantha?
Where is our favorite barista? I hope Sam's not sick again. :(
Thats so nice of you, thank you :) Well here I'm back again, safe and sound.

So, now: lets cake & coffing ourselfs!

OMG, look at that puppy face!!!! She's so cute!! I'm not known for acting girly, but put animals in front of me, and there's just too much cuteness to contain.

I wasn't feeling all that collected yesterday, and then I watched a couple Game of Thrones episodes last night. I'm not usually a movie-cryer, but those had me openly crying. I think maybe I just needed a good cry. (I'm only halfway through the finale of season 5, I haven't seen any of season 6 yet, no spoilers please.)

My bosses are out of the office starting with after lunch today through the end of the week. Which either means I'll have peace and quiet to get stuff done, or all of their customers will call me. I also have a performance tomorrow night, and am performing at a wedding on Saturday. And then another performance next week that I'm not ready for. I'm a bit stressed.

Mmm, now I want cake. Crumbly coffee cake, moist yellow birthday cake with chocolate frosting and sprinkles, cheesecake with cherries on top...
