This is an incredibly difficult maneuver to pull off, the timing has to be impeccable.
He pins the Pirouette and ends with a Troubled Tortoise! Oh he has got to like that!
This is just incredible folks! It is these types of inspirational landings that makes Test Squadron such an oft heard name in the Landing Pad Olympics!

They're actually the brakes. Coming in at 300m/s you need to skim the side of the station to slow down. If you burn them clean off, then it wasn't time to land!
