To Upgrade or Not Upgrade? Javelin or Idris-P

Recently due to the generosity of everyone we were able to fund a Idris-P for our organization in under 24 hours. The campaign can be found here.

With the release of the Javelin, some people have been wondering if we should go the full mile and just get a Javelin for its beastly turrets.

Don't get one, get bigger smaller ships that can kill one instead.

The outfitting of a Javelin would be a fun guild goal to work towards once the game actually launches. I would be willing to throw money into another funding campaign.

Let me play devils advocate here.

We are a large org, it is very likely that we will be able to raise the funds in-game to buy these ships in 6-8wks.

Also keep in mind that there are still new corvettes have yet to be made. We may want to get 3-4 of those vs one Javelin.

I think that raising funds for ships like this in game would be a great way to bring test members together with a common goal when the PU launches.

I'd be ok kicking in for a Javi, I don't think I want one for myself, not useful enough for a single person. Getting one for TEST ingame would be ok with me too.

I've got no work on at the moment so funds are tight but when everything cranks back into gear next year I'll be able throw a stack or two around.

If this goes through or not, I could pledge $20 currently as a non-member xD. If I could I would pledge more, but I'm a mega broke ass this month since I'm getting a Starfarer, and then upgrading my PC next month. I really hope you guys are able to get one though, but ultimately it's up to you and I'll support you however!

I'd rather get another Idris, or wait and see if we can butter details about the new corvette out of someone. Too much money for one ship, IMO.

Good opportunity to pick up what will be the largest ship you can purchase and log off in. No need to defend it 24/7... Can go and get a beer and not come back to a smoking wreckage.
