I also had this problem if your not in the EU there is no tax if you refresh or add the item to the cart it will not be present i believe this will be fixed soon.

Basically a tax added by the government that's added to the cost of everything you buy. Usually around %20-%30.

Totally bullshit, I paid tax on the money when i earned it.

VAT is a sales tax. Sadly it has become more prevalent because it is unpopular to actually tax companies, thus the rich get richer and so on.

Some of those ships are very expensive as is but basically the 890 jump was an extra $178 dollars in the UK, nevermind a capital ship.
