Look at all these guys talking tactics and weapon switching. I just struggle with keeping the reticle near a ship and hold down on the fire button...I usually overheat. :(
Voice attack replaces key strokes? Which keystrokes/commands you must do to change weapon groups? I really hated to do this in HUD, it never worked properly: enable one weapon in weapongroup 2, another weapon also get disabled in weapongroup 1, try to enable the other weapon again in weapon group 1, the first weapen gets disabled disabled again in weapon group 2. very unstable behaviour.i actually mapped out a VoiceAttack Command specifically to do this quick and easily
I also use the daka-daka-daka tactics  to over-saturate the target area. Zoom helps allot to get the reticle closer to the targets pip ;). The Badger CF117, M4A and M3A hardly overheat, I like the CF117 more for its daka capability. The CF227 tends to overheats a little bit faster but therefor has a better punch.Look at all these guys talking tactics and weapon switching. I like make things go boom. All the gunz, all at once, all the time.
DakKA DAkKa!
Voice attack takes your commands and hits keys which you can configure. You can even tell it to 'listen' to your command and setup the bind for you. You can also tell it to output text-to-speak, or audio feedback, or audio files, etc. It's nifty.Voice attack replaces key strokes? Which keystrokes/commands you must do to change weapon groups? I found voice aAnna....o_O..... fckng long xml :eek::eek: 25 MB for plain text :confused:same, i group all 3 panthers together everytime i get in the ship, its not too hard, takes me about 3 seconds, i actually mapped out a VoiceAttack Command specifically to do this quick and easily.
No idea. You'll have to talk to @Shadow Reaper about that. ;). But now you have to do it. There is beer on the line!
OK, I have started to empty the cruelsome maze that is called: my brain. Where is my beer? I need to cool down and get rest of my brain cells in place again after the first download. beeeerNo idea. That's what Ripcord was referring to with "trigger discipline". Even if you are flying all lasers and can't run out of ammo, most ships ability to recharge their shields is tied to limits in the reactor and weapons, so refusing to fire when you don't need to is always the best option. Also note that firing gives away your position, and if an additional combatant enters a fray he will find you faster if you're firing. So you don't fire when you don't need to! If you get good enough at holding off the trigger you can substitute much heavier damage weapons that create far less heat and need less power, all of which makes you harder to find and harder for missiles to lock on you. If you have to use lasers and the Panther overheats, shoot an Omni or Behring. The Panther overheats in 34s. The Omni in 40s. The Behring does not overheat at all. Here you go friend. *passes over cold keg*. You've earned it.Where is my beer? I need to cool down and get rest of my brain cells in
This is really good info. Thanks. I'm huge fan of the M5A's off of the Khartu-Al, added to my Sabre. The Panther overheats in 34s. The Omni in 40s. The Behring does not overheat at all. See the far right hand side of this chart under "Time to Overheat":
Where's the Prospector? Are you mostly going to crew mining vessels? You could do the ILS branch of RR with Farer and Cat. Maybe even Security with the G.@Grimbli. I'm thinking about this fleet, for a while anyways. I really want a Redeemer, but there's no point in buying one until she's flight ready.
At that time either the Cutlass or the Sabre may get upgraded to her.
For the Sabre to be upgraded, I'll need to make sure I love the Bucky first. It'll depend on how my flying style adds up with the Bucky. If the Sabre gets the upgrade, it should leave me enough to buy a couple 'Pillar mods when they hit the market. That's leave me a Bucky and a 'Deemer as a light/heavy combo.
I love the Cutlass as a day-to-day single person ship. For when I'm flying solo, and want to do more than dogfight. If the Redeemer can do the same job as a day-to-day vessel, then maybe the Cutty is upgraded. Hard to say at this point. Cutty being upgraded would leave quite a bit less for 'Pillar mods.
Let's not even talk about what I'll do when a small salvage ship hits the market. Dammit.

Small, single or dual seater salvage ship. Similar to the Prospector, but for salvage instead of mining. What is the function of a "small" salvage ship? I take it you just grab parts, but do you need a real salvage ship for that? I read once that someone was guessing the Reliant would be good for that, but I can't guess why. It has a little cargo space, but so does the Redeemer.
I have the Prospector available to unmelt. Two of them actually. I just need a token to unmelt her, as I'm not spending more real life money. I'll keep that in my fleet for now, until the salvage ship hits the market.Where's the Prospector? Are you mostly going to crew mining vessels? You could do the ILS branch of RR with Farer and Cat. Beautiful fleet. So many likes. My fleet :oops::oops:

OK boss man. Readjusted:Where's the Prospector? Are you mostly going to crew mining vessels? You could do the ILS branch of RR with Farer and Cat. Maybe even Security with the G.
Beautiful fleet. Beautiful.Aurora, Buccaneer, Super Hornet, Star G, Caterpillar, two Dragonflies, Carrack, and Reclaimer.
You MUST have that supercollider. Period. End of story. This isn't even including when I get my hands on an Endeavor. I'm waiting to see if they do another sale for it before I go to less reputable places...
REALLY want that Supercollider!
