i pledged last week with a mustang and have already spent 190$ for a sabre, who knows what will happen in the near future ^_^
...and where else can we drop our pants? In here we are amongst like minded crazy people, I for sure don't tell my wife, remember "wrong exit" :eek:Just to avoid misunderstandings: you DON'T need to drop your pants in here - just use the poll and vote. ;)
Subscriber fees, hangar flair, merchandise, credits, etc...guess it all added up faster than I thought.Hows that possible, to spend 700 bucks owning only two (even small) ships...? Did you buy 2 Lancers and 2 Prospectors and some (more) hangar stuff?
And that's not counting the dual T16000 joysticks, hardware to mount it to my chair, and the costs associated with the upcoming Citizencon trip....this game better be good or we will all need financial and psychological counseling. (not to say that most of us don't already :p)Yeah, what a devils machine, ain't it? :D

LTI is lifetime insurance, this means insurance for your ship's hull for life, without having to pay for it in game. So if you get blown up, at least insurance will provide you with a new ship (after a period of time, dpending on demand/rarity/cost probably). Insurance in game won't be incredibly expensive, but will have to be added to your operating costs (and if you have many ships it could add up). So it ends up being valuable for people with many ships who plan to take them all out at various points. There will be insurance to cover weapons, cargo etc, but that ISNT included in LTI packages.Aurora / CCU to Herald or avenger
Caterpillar
Dragonfly will probably be the last I buy .
Could someone explain the value and significance of LTI ?
Well, shit. Sounds like I need to buy a Freelancer as well. Here's what I have now:
Sabre
Prospector
Aquila+P52
Starfarer
I'm thinking about melting the Aquila and upgrading the Prospector to an LTI Carrack, then using a token to buy back the Prospector. I figure I'm justified in spending the extra money to go from an Aquila to a Carrack because the Carrack can only fit through large jump points. Therefore I would "unfortunately" be "forced" to buy a Freelancer as well to have access to small and medium jump point exploration. The logic of that makes sense if you're drunk.
thisI figure that there are enough rich people around with multi crew ships that I could still get my rocks off by manning a station.
I drive big trucks and it's a little exciting when you have to put this giant thing in a tight...small....hole.....I've driven supertankers and not-so-super tankers, coastal freighters and tugboats... and, yeah, you don't pilot them things for *excitement* ;-)
