Kinda makes me wonder if we can do something like Eve and collect famous corpses.
Well as long as we can keep them all in a permenant museum exhibit collection onboard the Bengal.
But on a serious note, I could see collecting people in escape pods or corpses in wreckages to turn in for bounties. I mean they did that for a few missions in Freelancer too, if I recall. I see it more as not UEE bounty assigned by the server but bounties that organizations set on people, whether formally or informally.
Wow Walex. Your quote-fu is strong. If I tried to do that it would look like my dog had sat on the keyboard and hit post.
lol and he could of totally spammed the submit with multiple posts montoya got him trained well ;)
Yep, that was entry training when I first joined. Everyone was required to take Forum Reddiquette 101. It wasn't so much post spamming that I had to
learn the hard way, but he had to beat a few bad habits out of me that I brought from 4chan, like inks to
inappropriate content and
NSFL .gifs, trolling, and
rickrolling. At the end of the course, we had an awards ceremony where we got certificates allowing us posting rights on the forums. Montoya even recorded a stream of the graduation ceremony.
This was the video from mine that he put on youtube for my mom.
Count me in among the owners of large scavenging vessels. I will happily track down your icy corpse and ignore it in favor of your crippled ship.
I may have to wait on the hull c for a large ship, but damnit that's cool looking...
Well I certainly hope that we have a wide variety of Wave 3 ships in the Test Fleet. I'm imagining that having a few squadrons of Carracks, Aquillas, 315Ps, and Freelancer DURs will scout jump points and investigate them for points of interest. Depending on whether we find hostile units/factions, military units can be brought in to clear threats and make it safe for trading. Reclaimers/Cutlasses can come in to salvage, or Orions/Cutlasses can be brought in to mine. Then HullCs, Banu MMs, Starfarers, Caterpillars, Tauruses, Freelancer Maxes will come in to collect and transport the scrap/ore/treasure.
These concept ships are very specialized, and will likely require human crew members and cooperation to work efficiently. I'm expecting all of them to have to have a very high pricepoint. It's perfectly reasonable, rational, and understandable to not jump on these big purchases if you don't feel that a ship is a good fit (
or if your significant others will toss you out on the couch/street), there's definitely no harm in waiting for the other ships to be unveiled. We will still be able to earn these in game.
And we can't forget about the people back on the Phoenixes and 890s that will be squandering all that hard earned money on booze and escorts.
