I theorize the Eclipse is a stealth bomber (video)

Anyone else think this looks like an oversized Avenger? You know if they have several variants where you can swap out the bomber bay for other things, this could become one of the very coolest ships in game.

Well technically the Avenger is Aegis as well and as such shares similar look and assets to gladius, sabre, vanguards, retaliators and now probably Eclipse. Maybe reedemer as well once the devs make a pass at it and just reuse existing assets. It definately wont look like what it is now.

I think there is a fair chance they will rebrand the Redeemer to another manufacturer before they rebuild it. I'd make it MISC. Right now it has a place in the market since technically it has more firepower than the ships with airframes, and should be both faster and harder to breech than the Vanguards. My trouble with it is I think it should be sporting all S4 weapons. It needs 5 guys, and 5 guys can fly 3 Vanguard and kick the crap out of a Redeemer, so why settle for something that can't manage in atmosphere? I loved the Redeemer right up until they changed what the weapons can do. Now I don't want to go into combat without S4 guns.

The Retaliator is not able to do so, as far as I know. I would imagine it's for balance purposes to be honest, 3 Size 9 pylons would equal like....over 100 size 2 missiles quite easily. Even disbarring the cost of such missiles, that's a FUCKTON of missile firepower that's like impossible to balance, it could just derp out enough missiles to kill 4 fighters with no actual recourse, and then slip away.
