I'm sure it will be ready by day one. Maybe even day one of Beta, but certainly once it goes prime time. Did you need someone to remind you this is Alpha?
An Alpha game with a website where they are selling things based on bad information.

Fixing stats would take no more than 6 man hours per month, it isn't like they don't have enough employees or enough money for such a simple task.

I am as frustrated as you. I routinely groan in response to the fact the ships page is nearly always wrong. OTOH, were they making constant corrections, they would get grief from people who are treating it as if it were a game where they had purchased this or that when in fact it is not a game and we do not purchase ships, we make donations. The distinction is an important one. This is the natural evolution of the "agile" design model where folks release stuff that is not ready. If you want to blame someone, blame Microsoft for Windows. Fact is, this is not even in Beta yet, and the more tinkering they do with the ships page, the more likely players are to complain at every change. CIG is doing what they are doing quite by design. It's no accident. They could fix the page annually and it would be far better than what we have. Frustrating to be sure!

Well volunteered. When do you start?

Right after they offer me a contract.
And here was me thinking you'd be able to do it so quickly you wouldn't be able to charge for a full hours work? ;)

Not being a USA national i'm not certain, however a 6 hour a month contract (as you have indicated you'd be able to do it in) doesn't sound like it'd be very legal...?

That said we have Zero Hours contracts in the UK so anything is possible.

EDIT - Out of interest what kind of eCommerce CMS systems do you have experience with? I'd expect CIG to have bought an off-the-peg like Broadleaf and adapted it for their needs as they did with Cryengine, however they may well have a bespoke one woven into their site design as the site cost rather a lot to have made in the first place. As the stats are on the ship pages it may be a little more complicated to update the ships stats than just going to each web-page and changing the code here and there or running an Excel Spreadsheet of changes in, depending on the conditions and limitations of the CMS they are potentially using...?

I would fix the page for free, but if they had the answers they would post them up without the help. It is because they don't want us to trust we have those answers and later complain when they change them that they are resistant to fixing the page. They said 9 months ago they were going to fix it. So at least they know there is a problem.

It's the newest ship under performance. You have racers, but now you'll have hockey. That's right, the game changer is a giant hokey stadium!
We might have enough Canadians and Nords in just TEST to have some fun games on it. :)

You're absolutely correct, but when you log into a digital shop and buy a specific ship, no amount of disclaimers and warnings will make most people realize that they are donating to the game's development and the ship they're getting is nothing more than a nice "thank you" note from the devs.

I'm excited about the redesign. Hopefully they're adding systems that makes updating ship stats easy enough that it'll actually happen on time moving forward. It would also be nice if this is part of a larger overhaul that will finally grant us org management tools on the site (I'm not holding my breath for that though).

HTML is HTML, but as far as ecommerce, I have done work with a few. Most recently Magento.

Excellent, shouln't take too much training to get you up to speed with their eRetail systems should they need your services even if they have a bespoke setup with a heavy degree of hard-coded pages.

Will you be working flexi hours as and when the changes come in or will you do one 6 hour day a month? The backers would prefer you did flexi-hours as the Matrix would be as up-to-the-minute accurate as possible.
