eh i'm not that good at dogfighting

everyone has a Carrack they're so passe, Odyssey is the new carrack. besides it is more suitable for a still and a brewery

I'm not that great at dog fighting either, but I'm killer at ending hostile raccoons with my baseball bat it seems. I learned that recently when a few of them attacked my family's animals in the middle of the night.

Some nebulae are made of of various forms of gaseous alcohols, if collected & refined, that might be source material for literally out of this world beverages. Just an idea.

Question: I'm looking at CCU'ing my Scorpius to a Corsair, good idea/bad idea?
You can do more with a Corsair than you can do with a Scorpius. If dogfighting isn’t your priority, it could be quite a good idea. Can you try someone else’s out, or use the Scorpius to earn enough aUEC to buy one in game, and see if you like it enough to CCU to it?

Corsair is decent for NPC bounties and for some simply freight hauling/trading. She hits hard and is still (Post MM) one of the hardest single pilot controlled weapons ship. I have both....I never take out the Scorp.

Based on your previous comments I'd say *probably.* With one person, Corsair is much more versatile for sure. Scorp has two big things going for it, in case either matter to you:
1.) It's probably the best 2-person dogfighter in the game. If you and a buddy want to go get scrappy, that's exactly where the Scorp shines.
2.) Scorp fits in the Polaris hanger. Corsair does not.

Distillation of nebula. Astral Rum.
If you're not much into fighter combat, I'd say that would be a good idea CCU'ing your Scorp to a Corsair.

The Corsair is an interesting beast to pilot with it's wide or high wingspan, depending on your configuration.
Don't forget about those when landing at any location without a hangar door on the ceiling.
The gear are short and the ship is long, so it rides low to the ground if landing on a planet/moon surface.
Take some time and borrow somebody's to get a feel for flying it in combat and landing if you can.
Other than that, it's got great firepower for the pilot, good versatility, and tough S3 shield (though a single generator only).

Also, it's a fun multiplayer ship if you have a couple of buddies to go out with and cause some mayhem.

It appears you can't currently rent a Corsair; you can only buy one (in game for aUEC or for real money), or borrow one - with or without the owner's permission. I wonder why - anyone know how CIG decide what ships can and can't be rented?

Seems to be randomly decided by the devs during a special annual meeting where they throw darts at a dancing intern with different ship names written on their body in various locations.
