I've got a super hornet that will need to be upgraded to the Sabre. It's a lighter, faster ship that has 2 engines and the weapons loadout is similar.

I'm thinking about CCUing my Super Hornet to a Saber once the Saber is flyable. If I do it now, my only flyable ship will be the M50, if nothing else becomes flyable before Alpha 2.0 drops.

The hornet really needs another pass at the design to bring it into line with the more recent ships.

Well, I can always get the super hornet in RECs. I bought the Super Hornet right before they rolled that out RECs back in April and I figured I could use it for Org ops in the PU. It looks like the Sabre will be a much better ship for that.

It looks like Saber is Gladius (light fast) -> Hornet (new brawler) -> Saber (let's go back to the light thing Gladius 2.0)

I'm going to swapsy SH for faster Redeemer is mah heavy.

I have a SH and a Gladius. I am debating converting my SH to a Sabre, but maybe the gladius covers the agile thing and my SH should stay.

If i melted everything i my hanger except my alpha package and added 600 bucks I could pick up the Idris package, but I would have to toss my 890 jump/orion etc to do it hmmm

I'm not super impressed. the saber looks bulky and for the price i'm still inclined to keep my gladius

I debated it, but I'd have to melt my 890 Jump and still kick in about $1000.

I'm not going to bring up the ship specs page. But the Saber doesn't appear to be that much larger physically, is built to out-turn Vanduul ships, and mounts MUCH better weaponry than the Gladius.

hmm never noticed the alpha part, so about $500 x.30 =150+500 = 650 bucks Canadian for me to grab the package

spreaking of the ship page it does say there are 2 x 3 fixed and 2 x 3 gimbal in the specs but . The presentation feels like its trying to be misleading even though without the gimbals they are all size 3.

i do like the redundency with the shield and extra engin though. your right though, its only 6m longer the a gladius

unless its just spec gibberish, it says that it has a advanced low profile radar system, which in theory would mean it can scan without making alot of .. radar noise for others to pick up?
