It definitely passes test 1) looks. Capacity seems fine for a small ship, whether that is enough depends how fast it mines since its extract pockets. Never quite sure whether I can have a npc in a hauler alongside.

Okay, I can see the path a little clearer now. 3 or 4 of these things operating with a Hull series or some Freelancers and a beerfarer and some fighters, you could stay out there until the beer runs out. Or you can afford an Orion, or an 890 Jump. I named mine Skeeter 1.
