I wasn't really trying to shave it so much as trim it. Then shit that only happens to me happened and I turned my head to see what the commotion was. Only problem was, I forgot to move the shaver. And it's electric, cuts really fast.

    Coronavirus COVID-19 Thread

I overcame my fear of needles (in the arms) when I was 10). Had to go for a glucose stress test. When I was 14, I had to get eye surgery. I was awake and totally conscious for that. Then years later I had a chance to get a steroid shot in my ass... but I discovered I could opt for a...

There has been political weirdness on both sides of the border, but in Canada the divide is not nearly as political as it is in the US (so it's a little less fun).

Cats can be smarter. While I was petting a kitten, I asked him what was 2/0. He started purring, i couldn't even count the number. Then after a while he got up, scratched me and ran away. I took that as a divide by 0 error.

My extended family (which is quite large and spans 2 countries) is like a microcosm of society in general. The vaccination rate is virtually the same. Canadians have a little less hesitancy than Americans. In speaking with them, I have only asked whether they have been vaccinated and why not...

Sounds like you seriously need longer utensils. I don't cook with my face though, which kind of explains why it needed to be shaved a bit.

Florida is one of the states that is only reporting every 7 days, so we won't know until I think later today or tomorrow evening. Last week the total reported deaths averaged 335/day. source is John Hopkins university data set. Had to divide the total weekly deaths by 7

o.O Wait a sec... Someone was showing off, and got caught because it made the news. The last time I was in a hospital, the nurses could open any door even if it was locked.

Just want to say here, you're not being sanctimonious, nor are you alone. Something isn't quite right. BTW. A probably obvious question popped into my head, how many Americans are vaccinated from the flu. The answer is here... and it's a little eye opening for me...

I just read an article that referenced this: (and it is provisional... not final) https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7014e1.htm?s_cid=mm7014e1_w COVID is ranked in the third spot. We kind of knew it was going to end up there. Note that influenza and pneumonia, which is what many people...

I'm not trying to be dismissive, I'm trying not to write a book. The way studies work is complex. Yes there is... I think you understand correctly. Mostly, they don't read all the most up-to-date literature, it depends on their specializations, interests, what the patient is coming to them...

    Hello there

Welcome to TEST! I thought we did give him a raise? It was a whopping 50% raise too if I remember correctly. BTW, what is 50% of $0.00?

A doctor's knowledge does not go without saying. As with any profession, there are good practitioners and not so good practitioners. In your case, paraphrasing here, your doctor explained a treatment that was not FDA approved, because he thought it might do you some good. But he explained the...

    2nm transistors

5nm processor chips have been used in cell phones and tablets for several years now, but this is a bit of a departure from the current Intel or AMD tech Apple has been using. In fact, other than the price it might be what Apple needs. There's been a kind of convergence going on between cell...

I can! In fact, my wife just helped me shave most of it off this weekend after I uh, we'll just call it a shaving accident, made it kind of lopsided. Not my fault.

Fortunately, that is not how science is done. The existence of an initial study is evidence, but not definitive evidence that a treatment works. If the treatment survives the reproducibility test, it is evidence that a further trial is perhaps warranted. Informed consent: This period is...

I have to make a decision. New ships, or a Mac? I just paid for two laptops since June (for work), so my wife won't be happy either way... Hmm. Sounds like I might maybe have nothing to loose.
