When it comes to personal weapons, I also prefer ballistic to energy. From what I can understand, you cannot "top off" Energy weapons, you just load in a new cell. There are advantages to this, Energy weapon cells can be recharged, while you would have to buy more ammo for the ballistics...

Indeed they will, but this site seems to keep up pretty well with the patches as they come out. It is at least something to work with atm.

Did a bit more limited testing, was QT'ing from Comm Station 47 to Comm Station 76 (only things that do not really vary in distance dependent upon orbit). It is only 69,227km, but yielded some interesting results. I used Civilian Class C Quantum Drives. The testing took place in a Renegade...

No I have not. Though the Kore has a range of about 55 mk on 583 QF. Talk about getting some good mileage! It is the longest ranged of the small ships I have tested. You have to overclock the coolers though, even if you upgrade to the Class C Military Coolers, they just cannot handle it...

Okay, did a bit of testing. Even though you can put a size 2 Quantum Drive in an Avenger, you don't have enough Quatum Fuel to jump very far. Also, Freelancer gets much better mileage, what would have taken an Avenger 720 QF to travel, only took the Freelancer 560.

The weapons on the Prospector and Terrapin are kind of an insult anyway, so why not turn them off? 😜

Took my DUR from Oli to Hurston, no issues at all, in a single jump. Course, it is a long range ship. EDIT: You can overclock the coolers, the Qauntum Drive, and just about everything else now. So overclocking both should give improved range in short range ship Qauntum Travel.

I really like it, outside of the constant server disconnects. That is getting really old. Especially from a game that went to release.

See, I thought it was 1000 SCU with the old SCU interpretation, which would mean less now. Something like 500 SCU... I could be wrong, I have only had a few mugs of coffee, and it IS a Tuesday.

I noted something looking back at the RtV, the Carrack still has the three external cargo pods, just that there is a cover that lifts up and away from them. It was also this way on the original, just that the original cover had lines denoting where those cargo pods were.

While I can't argue aesthetics, you have to remember that the old Carrack was an artistic misconception of what it would look like, they want it to look pretty. The new Carrack is a developer's rendition, they want it to actually work well in the game. That being said, the older model does...
