I hear ya, for me though, considering the role and what I had the C2 for originally, this just made sense! I melted my Freelancer DUR to get the upgrade though...so now Im down a small-medium explorer, I also dont really like the look of the new 400i so I will need to think about exploration...

You can use this as a base of operations completely I think, you could have a couple rovers, a small explorer ship and another ship to help refine if needed? Room for all.

I did it...I upgraded my C2 to the Liberator... I dont regret it! I like the looks much better and think it will be a bit more long-range capable maybe? Looking forward to learning more about this new cap ship!

Hmm, the Taurus is listed as 26m wide x 61m long, the base freelancer is 23.5m wide x 38m long. With the Railen being 52x53 I wonder if it will be limited to medium and larger jump points (when those actually become a thing). I think they previously said the freelancer would be the largest...

Not to upset any Tonk lovers or anything, but just wondering if they've given any lore/info on why they went with tank treads instead of some sort of hover or even limited flight option. Actually...why even have a traditional tank when an armored ship around the same size could perform better...
