$27,000.00 SC mega pack

I dont understand packs like this. Ive seen a few concierge buy it , but to me its like ... WHY ... i guess if you are supplying a WHOLE ORG with ships it makes sense SORTA ... but I for the life of me cant imagine buying $27,000 of anything but ships I know will be hard to get:

Javelin
Idris-M
Idris-P
Polaris
Hammerhead
890J
Orion
Hull E
Endeavor

Like why would you spend all that money on ships that will literally be obsolete within a few months of the game?

Well I for one buy ships to support the development of the game not only to get the cool ships and if I had that kind of money to throw around I'd buy the pack in a heart beat.. :D :beers::beers::beers::beers::beer:

There are literally a million people out there that could buy TEN of these legatus packages and not even notice the change in their bank balance. That is who CIG are after, that, and also corporations who want to give them some sponsorship and don't want to trifle with a few hundred dollars.

I know at least 2 players who have two completionist packs and javelins.. so.. this pack was undoubtedly for them.

From what I can see, they're selling every ship they've created and concept sold to date in that package.Every variant, EVERYTHING. All the modules, upgrades, and things too.

Imagine the salt if it didn't have LTI.

You can share mine, I plan on melting it anyway in a few months to melt into the completionist pack.. for the captured vanduul scythe and idris-M.. once I have that.. with my buybacks... I'll be good.. the collector in me will be satisfied. Buying back the Javelin will take a while though.. lol

My only concern would be if you start the game by litteraly possessing all the ships that exist. How manytime befor you are bored of the game and just leave?

There are 2 things that make you stay on a MMO, the community/friends and the goal/objectif miss one of those 2 and you wont stay long. And by goal i mean something clearly indentified and (sorry for this non sens) virtualy tangible. So it s always a matter a caracter/account possession/gear assets. In the case of star citizen it could be obtaining ships as the ships hype make it a collectible issue.
I have been playing MMos since 20 years now and every single time i saw the same exact things. Some players rush towards there goals aka having the best gears before everyone else. From those players (and i counted alot fo them as friends) very few remained on the game when the objectif was reached.
Most of them would com back at each nex xpack but they left soon after finished gearing up.

We all saw those highend hardcore guild that broke up very few times after the realise because they got everything they wanted and since there is nothing more to do started to breed intern confilct based on ego.

So i wonder how manytime will you stay on star citizen if you have everything from the starts?

the ONLY thing that ticks me off about this whole $27k package, is that i cannot afford it. It looks sweet, and to those who do get one, i envy you ( SC wise). Also for that kind of money, Star Citizen needs to include a target sun to practice crashing into.
