My 780ti died on me today. Got an offer for a R290 for 180$ so if anyone can do me better, please post here. Trying to hold off til the 11 series comes out for nvidia.

Good luck, I just sold my 3 used 980ti's not too long ago. With mining becoming less profitable, you should be able to snag a decent GPU from someone.

GPU prices have been slowly coming down. Shouldnt be too long before they are semi-affordable again.
Yeah honestly if you cant wait I would look for any brand new 1060 6gb model thats under $300 or rx 580 8gb model under $300. and if you really need to save money on it a 1050 ti $150 or under will be pretty good (all of these will make your 780 ti feel like dog shit :D ) the 1060 and 580 will play anything maxed at 1080p and the 1050 ti will play most on high at 1080p maybe low AA. Honestly all these options will be more limited by your cpu than anything assuming your cpu is as old or older than a 780 ti :)
The 1050ti is a downgrade from my 780ti :\ by a lot. I'm ending up going with a 1070ti, as I have convinced my wife that when I upgrade to the 11 series when it comes out, the 1070ti will become her video card when we build her computer. This was all done for her...>.>
I just need to get an ssd and 16gb of ram.... but I gotta buy this new drake ship first!
Jesus I love ships too but get the SSD first for the sake of the lord. Your mechanical HDD is from the 1980s - get modern!!!!
I have over 80TB of storage, all on HDD's currently lol. Price per gig was better when I built it.
Comes out today apparently, there have been ads all week. It's supposed to be the starter salvage ship, pics of the concept got posted on reddit earlier.

Correction, the ship is released tomorrow, the image on reddit was a reconstruction of the commercial which had the ship hidden in static. Still an image of the ship though.

1050 ti is not as good in raw power but in modern games with all the new features it out does it :D I was surprised about that too haha
My assumption is it must be those the drivers and how much optimizing they are willing to do to a game for older kit...?
Yeah between drivers, extra ram and just plain whole new architecture they pull off some impressive stuff for budget cards.
EDIT: Oh and also because they run so much cooler and boost so much higher combined that means maintaining full throttle the whole time squeezing out some extra performance.
