I would be in for either escort of bomber activities itself.

What I would like to see though it some kind of useful list of sub-groups TEST is creating. Plans are good and well, and since we don't know when or even if (oh noes!) it SZ will be released. Its quite hard to create a foundation for everyone's ideas within the corp. Or for members to have an idea whats going on. Some really wont care and just go for it. Other will probably like a bit of structure where it be.
But I'm sure M has ideas on that already. And this is all too early perhaps.

I'll just keep on drinking..

So far there's the racing, exploration council, and the rock raiders groups that are official.
All others are unofficial and as such are subject to change or deletion. Bomber squadron is in the second group, which is why we spend our days plotting and planning what our eventual organization might look like.

We need a Persistent Universe as well. We need a lot of things...
I need a drink.

How did they manage to go big time? We've got a lot of active guys that look like leadership material around here and a pretty solid business plan "find shit, blow it up" so what do we need? To settle on a name and get a fancy-schmancy logo or do we just rub Montoya's nipples? I skimmed over the divisions of test brainstorm thread and everyone seems to agree there will be a combat divisions falling under an upper echelon of leadership followed by sub-divisions like ours so it seems to me the only thing we lack that they have is a fresh forum post with all the condensed information with nice formatting.

reserved for when i'm not brushing my teeth and typing one handed, but the tl:dr is that they've put more effort into it than we have, and for longer. this thread only recently picked back up, and we're actually a fairly small group.

I think we should probably at least work on a name and logo.
I have reasonable skills but a lack of imagination when it comes to these so if anyone has a logo concept they can't make but want to see, I'm happy to give it a go.

in order for a bomber squad to function well we need to all strike together in order to have the loudest BOOM.

I think it's worth us having a weekly raid, every week at the same time/day (technically multiple for timezones that are really far apart). So EST/PST players every Saturday at 8pm for example. Obviously there is a chance you'll miss one week, but knowing to try and keep your schedule free for that part of the week makes planning among all of us much easier. Added benefits
- Depending on how effective we are, we might scare some orgs and players shit less "OH SHIT ITS BOMBER SQUADRON TIME". Yes they know we're striking at that time, but none of them are gonna know it's them till its too late!
- Time to repair, load, plan our raid, etc. The really large missiles in my tali seem expensive and hard to replace. I'm not gonna be able to do a bomber run everyday I imagine. (Maybe I'm wrong on this?). Regardless, having a week to plan is a huge deal (basically LETS ALL FLY TO THIS SYSTEM AND SHOOT EVERYTHING unless nkato decides to step in and lend us his smarts)

Thoughts? (or if this has been suggested in the past 10 pages of posts never mind haha)

Nothing about organized events yet; it's worth a thought, though. maybe do a rotation-based thing, with signups a few days before, give various members some practice running multi-ship and multi-crew ops. Members would sign up a few days prior to the op, we'd all know what the plan and objectives are, and we'd all get some good flight time in with other members of the group.

I'm worried if we force people to practice every week multiple times it makes it more of a burden than a game.

We could however get away with just running people with 0 bomber experience (or bomber escort, etc ) through training before they work with bomber squadron. We'll also need to make sure that our plan for each mission is incredibly detailed, and captains are able to ask questions beforehand so everyone understands the mission.

EDIT: OH and @Kersakov sorry for missing your logo & propaganda post! Just a few thoughts

Logo: Overall I like it. The slogan could use some work, sounds like something DOD would write, not TEST squadron! I'll think on it and let you know if I come up with anything (also anyone else feel free to think about it). Other potential problem is the logo being all yellow. When you place it on something like your poster, it looks a little weird. Maybe the solution is to just change the posters background?

Poster: Besides the background comment from above ^, I think it's pretty great. Maybe the top text could change as it doesn't come off fluidly when I read it, "Where were you sitting for the boom?".

Made a pretty simplistic logo for us

Kept the torpedos from Kersakov's logo but threw it on the normal logo and added the BOMBARDIERS copy. Thoughts? Maybe turn the center into a tali of some kind?

EDIT: Noticed the Torpedo's got pixelated for some reason, Ill fix that. Also the kerning is off in the bottom text
