I could only think of 2 responses:

Because being an MP makes you like a virus, and a virus can't catch a virus. They even shrunk their brains to make sure it was safe. It seemed like a good idea but...
Or
If a virus can catch a virus, and so can MP's. And virus's (virions) can catch a virus.
It basically says "I'm free to put you at risk but don't you dare put me in peril".

To quote a friend from the north of the UK: "Watta sack 'o bastadz". I don't know what the phrase means but he says it with such vim it can only be an accurate response.

I never did understand what they expect these websites to do. It's not like they are the publisher of information and are truly just a public forum where people can go and voice whatever they feel like. Or is it no longer valid to expect people to use their best judgment? It's also a weird paradox as people expect them to be an open forum for their own content while demanding they limited content they don't agree with. I personally would like to see them do even less but I understand it's their property to do as they so choose and I don't envy the pressure they are getting from all sides.

I totally agree. Also it's a forum to express yourself - not to find good advice... so it's a kind of odd situation. But for me, I see vaccine hesitancy and denial is due mostly to fear of needles. Like any fear, they're going to try to find a way to justify their position.

Man, being in that position as a family member would suck. I'm not sure if you remember it, but when I was a kid Terri Schiavo was the center of a big debate about end of life care. I'll link to the stories wiki, it can explain it much better than I could.

I can understand everyone else wanting to pull life support, but as a family member the last thing you want to do is give the okay to end someone you loves life.
