Wow, just wow guys. The support you’re all showing is heart warming. I’d not even considered talking to CIG. Do you think they’d consider any refund, not that I’m saying they’re heartless but they’re a business with an awesome game to develop.

I’ve got all the PM’s and messages so will go through those after I’ve spoken to CIG. Fingers crossed they’ll help, but if they don’t I’ll contact everyone in turn.

Yes, just explain you have fallen on very hard times and are having to liquidate any nice things you own just to survive. They will understand, they don't want their customers destitute because of pixels!!

I'm sure they'll appreciate if you intend to buy back some of your fleet when things are better financially!

If the CIG doesn't help you out I will be shocked. If that happens I'll buy a ship or two to help out!

@GinjaNinja, I asked for a $3400 refund last fall to pay for a family emergency, and they granted it. I put in a concierge ticket. 2 weeks from the time the ticket went in to the refund. They took one week to respond from the initial time I put up the ticket. Just so you know. If you want any further info, please let me know.

Also, depending on their answer, I've got some dollars to throw at your as well.

Gotta pay forward after the way this amazing community stepped up in my time of need.

Hey @GinjaNinja - sorry to hear about your troubles, and I hope that CIG is able to help you out with a refund.

But if they do not, then I would be willing to buy a few ships from you. I would be interested in potentially buying: the Merchantman, Hurricane, Hull C, and the P-72 Archimedes. I imagine you've already received offers for some of those, but assuming you haven't let me know.

Also, if it's alright with you, I'd appreciate it if you let me cover any PayPal fees, in the event that I do wind up buying any ships from you.

In the end, though, I hope that you're able to get a refund from CIG and that none of this turns out to be necessary.

@Mushin - nothing is sold yet - he followed our advice and going to talk to CIG before trying to sell stuff one by one.
Sounds good! I refunded my account Oct 2017. The issues being though, you lose access to that account and just get the refund amount from the ships back. Time for refund was approximately 4 weeks at that time. Hope it all works out!

@Blind Owl -- were you able to keep anything/keep your account? It sounds like sometimes people want/need a full refund, and other times people need all the money they can get, but still keep a ship so they can keep their account.

@Radegast74 - there is NO rule in the cases of "high cost account refunds" .. they do not exist officially, but unofficially CIG is going extra mile to keep people who supported the game happy ... my point is - no example of what was possible in the past is relevant (unfortunately)

Ninja if you set up a gofundme i'll donate you 30 usd right off the bat i don't need a ship to help a fellow testie. I don't want to see all your hard work on building your account goto waste as alot of those ships are super rare.(Such as the discovery and Starfarer) The price of your fleet has alot of inflation value that you may never get the chance to have again if you refund or sell them all off. I'm sure other's from test would also help you out at no cost. Hell if i can throw 100 usd at lunch for a coworker my wife and kid i can throw 30 usd to a fellow ong time testie.

Ok got a reply from CIG this afternoon, they're escalating my request to a "specialist", I'm wondering if I should duck... I thought Specialists were hitmen... Sorry, trying out my sense of humour, but it's struggling!

The outpouring from you guys is just amazing, I truly didn't expect any of this, as I know more I will let you know what I can, if they stick an NDA on it I'll let you know what I legally can. But seriously guys, you all ROCK!

When I'm back on my feet, and I will be... I'll be buying you guys beers, just not too many as I'll probably be poorer than I am now.

Sorry to hear that man. If it makes you feel any better I was in a similar situation and could have refunded for my 3+ grand I have invested, but decided to let my credit take a hit instead. Things have worked out and I'm glad I still have my fleet, If worse comes to worse I hope you get through it witth a smile on your face and still have that badass fleet :slight_smile: . I would love to buy something from you but I'm sure you can see how that wouldn't be the best Idea on my part! Keep us updated though, I genuinely like to follow up to see how people are doing.

Edit: I tried to get that break to go away but it won't. Weird. #ThanksSeung.
