Greetings Citizens!

We will be running a couple playtests this weekend to bug hunt and gather feedback on the New Babbage Expo Halls. These will cycle through the halls every 45 minutes for Event Days 1-5 on Saturday and Event Days 5-9 on Sunday. Each hall will be open for 90 minutes so the previous hall will overlap with the next one.

Testing focus is to check to see if cycling between the halls when the next one activates is functioning correctly, testing interactions with ships and elevators and test rentals and purchases and flying them around to test server performance with the halls running. Getting into the build and checking the halls before they open to see if they work before and after the timer would be great!

During this playtest we will have the Mercury Star Runner available to see and rent during Expo Hall 4 at the below time on Saturday [Hall 4 - 13:15 - 14:45 CST]
Sunday evening, pledge copy for the Mercury Star Runner will be turned on for all players that own it! [requires a PTU account recopy]

The playtests will run 90 min per hall and will be at the following times on Saturday 11/14 and Sunday 11/15:

Saturday Hall Days 1-5: 11:00 CST - SAT: 17:00 UTC - SUN: 04:00 AEST

Yesterday, I was able to hear in-game the audio loop of the PA guy announcing the 2950 RSI Perseus whenI was in the RSI hall. This is a very strong indications it will be announced sometime during the IAE, possibly the last day or two of the show,

Aye, but there's no space blocked for a ship the (rumored) size of the Perseus. Probably a concept sale instead of a straight to flyable. Maybe a 3d holoview model as a stand in.

I expect the empty holoview model display will be where it is displayed. It will NOT be a straight to flyable unless they pull a rabbit out of their hat to surprise us all.

I will be taking a serious look at the nomad to see if it's something I want to CCU to. Also, the Perseus, which I am not expecting to be limited at this time.

What the Nomad is will entirely define how likely I am to CCU up to one.

Ore refinery has 0 interest for me tbh. Sorry I don't see much need of it except for larger mining ops.....which the Orion has one on board anyway.

But fuel refining- now that could be interesting. I do think we need another ship like the Starfarer but geared towards smaller size/crew requirements. A 1-2 person fuel tanker/refinery would be great to stick next to my Vulcan.

If it's yet another single person light fighter with no interior like the other 9 we have......at this point yaaaaaaaawn.

Crusader reading to go full blow in for this year? I like the idea but I feel is more likely they are starting to test the Starlifter flight model and some of his resources slipped into the released build...
still the immages we have for the Starlifter give the impression that, model side, is preatty compleated, maybe they show it as a non flyable model...

This would be awesome, it is also my expectation, a small fuel refining ship in tandem with Vulcan.

Make sure you're looking through your fleets these few days and seeing what you need/want at IAE.
