No MSR with today's patch. The buzz I am hearing is that the MSR will be rentable tomorrow from the Expo and Owners should have access to theirs Sunday. Can anyone confirm?

I'm an owner and perfectly happy with it... it's still coming, how is it 'not good' for the owners. PTU is to get major bugs out of the ship before its delivered to us, it's win/win/win all round.

The owners have a vested interest in finding the bugs, unlike the youtubers that don't own one.

The rental is free. It’s a way to test the rent system for the MSR before the IAE. If they didn’t make you rent it, none of the owners would. You would be playing around with the ship and not even nothing with the expo. Yes, the Mercury is big for CIG, but the expo is even bigger, they bring in a lot more accounts and money. Getting a good smooth experience that works is what is needed.

I understand some are not happy. Ask me sometime when I am on and I will let you drive mine and crawl around in mine. However, you can probably rent one before I wake up tomorrow so....

I think it's a bit silly to not let owners have it in the PTU but it's like 3 days, chill out people.

No, simply that the pilot controls a pair of gimballed S3 nose guns. The turrets have to be manned.

I understand the sentiment, but it leaves room for mutliplayer gameplay with the manned turrets - it would be OP otherwise. Besides having the 2x S2s upgraded to gimballed S3s is a massive bonus and we'll eventually beable to slave the turrets with blades anyway. The MSR being a runner will do better with the turrets being able to shoot backwards anyway and the pilot can only look in 1 direction at any given time, lol

It is what it is, however you wish to interpret it. It makes little to no difference, all of us who bought it will have it very soon. A few days waiting for a game that has been in development for almost a decade is nothing. Expect the expected, manage your expectation and exercise a little patience, it's all gravy.

Someone was kind enough to let me fly his star runner, pretty nimble indeed! It will be a great ship to fly until the corsair is released :)
