Okey, there has likely been discussion and speculation on the subject before. And there isn't really any new information about the ship itself, apart from it being one of the last remnants of the rapidly dwindling stock of ships that were designed and priced before the current pipeline was finished, and virtually all of those ships, especially the larger ones, have seen huge improvements.
Which is why I bought the CCU from my Gemini to Endeavor. I'm in no rush to apply it, but I think there is a decent chance Endeavor will get even more interesting than it currently seems.

Firstly, it's designed to be very modular. It's basically the definition of modular. And while there is a nice science/medicine set of modules for it already, there seems to be lacking a dedicated cargo module. I'm virtually certain that eventually there will be one. Or at least some sort of support module that increases the amount of cargo the ship can carry, I think they'll eventually figure that it'll make more sense that if the ship produces material, it might need a place to store that material. Other than cluttering the hangar.

Secondly, that hangar module. 2 cutlasses or up to 4 smaller ships? Insanity. Delicious, delicious insanity. Whatever you're doing, a ship with capital shields and a proper escort you can launch from the ship? That's pretty good combination security wise. Besides, if any ship can hold out until those combat assistance beacons yield results, it's a capital ship with escorts.

Thirdly, I rather like that the ship can just detach the front section. That's generally speaking neat.

Truth be told, I bought / have bought all the CCUs from my Gemini to ships at around $350 mark, and I got to the Hercules as well. Now I'll just be patient and wait to see which one will be the most bene... nah, I'm rushing off to upgrade my gemini to BMM. (Shame I missed the Carrack one, but well, I think Carracks landing deck ended up being kinda disappointing, so... meh. Pisces is totally awesome tho.)

I have the Endeavor, but haven't decided yet which modules to buy first... It's like a kid in a candy store. I want two of these, one of those... and OH LOOK! One of those too! And those things... right there... No not that, THAT. The one with the yellow...
That ship touches virtually every large ship button I have.

I'd say whatever you do with it, you want the hangar module.
Either you're floating hospital and need those cutlass reds to ferry patients,
or you're science vessel and want few Reliant Sens,
perhaps you're exploring, Pisces. Times four. Just throw those pisceses everywhere. Organize a race through a wormhole.
Carrying cargo (assuming they'll add some sort of cargo modules) you'll want that escort for security.
Or perhaps you're ferrying couple of cutlass blacks around selling drugs.
Also I'm fairly sure you could carry around two prospectors, turning the Endeavor into mobile base for mining operations. The detached head of the craft can then fly around the system selling the ore.
Or maybe you're just there as part of a larger convoy providing a landing platform for smaller ships.
Or maybe you're a traveling snubs salesman, selling custom overclocked snub craft. The hangar module could be your showroom.
I'm not quite sure what you'd do with the hangar when you're just farming, but there is probably some sort of magical benefit I'm overlooking.

If you're Concierge, crave the Endeavor & have $1k burning it's way out of your wallet (New $ or in-store creds), then you can pick up the Endeavor Master Set pack atm. That's ALL of the modules + the ship itself & all with LTI. God knows that I'm tempted to do so since I just melted my Emerald Phoenix bundle to upgrade my Terrapin into a Polaris this morning.

Hmm the Endeavor... every time I stumble upon this ship my mind rish to the Nostromo towing that large refinery.... ok mey be not the best image considering how it end up but the idea fits.

Taking aside the combat role the Endeavor is a ship that can do anything, form exploration to mobile base operation, and the best part is that is fully customazable in his roles.
The lack of a cargo pod I'm pretty shure it will be fixed in some way, either by adding a dedicated module or by adding a proper cargo aare in each module, both way make sense to me, sice it's easy for every area to have his own cargo space, but you can also want a central storage area...

So I just bought myself an Endeavor and had a wonderful thought. At least a couple dozen TESTies here probably have the ship and various modules to go with. Once docking becomes a thing you can link up with a bunch of other Endeavors with different modules that compliment yours and shore up where your weak at. It would literally be a player made space station and is scalable. Not only that, but if they ever made the caterpillars docking node (the white box from way back when) you can toss that in and have additional methods of docking to one another as well as a large cargo storage area. Throw in some hanger modules and the occasional Kraken patrolling around and *poof*, TEST squadron mushroom stamps its claim to any part of space and tells Cathcart's spider station to go stuff it.

Lots of them, take a look.

Yeah, I saw that, but I need to think about cash flow, which has been oriented a few degrees in the wrong direction of late.

If you can set someone(s) as having "ship officer" level of access or something so that the ships wouldn't despawn when you logged off this would be a neat idea. I'd be willing to add my endeavor to such an...endeavor.

I shall draft a charter then sir, and we will proclaim it the Compact of TESTicular Fortitude where all men, regardless of their beliefs, can drink starting at 6:00am, break wind during church and get a high-5 from the pastor, and never have to pause the football game just because the wife wants to "talk!"
AMEN brothers!

Endeavor to me was the first ship to come along that really set in stone the abilities and future of this game, when that ship came out everyone was in shock and awe or at least I was, now I would never own that ship just because of the crew requirements and the fact that I cant even fly an Aurora without flying into something but I would love to serve on one or be in fleet actions as a support ship.

I told myself my fleet is done. I don't need anything more. Speculation for the Endeavor pegged it at around $2000. I was like they are probably right, the ship is basically 3 different capitals rolled into one. Today they priced it a $1000 exact. I was like Dang.... LTI Master set for that much is really a good price. So melted my fighters which I never use and would be cheap in game anyway, used a 20% coupon and snagged one for $295.

The advantage of large library is that you will always have something to melt to obtain something else.

The Endeavor features a modular symmetrical grid layout with 6 slots, allowing up to three 2x1 modules, or a 2x2 module with a 2x1 module to be installed. No 3x2 module currently exists. Nine modules were available for purchase during the original concept sale. You cannot install more modules than the grid space allows, regardless of how many you own. Module spots are not pre-determined. Modules can fit anywhere on the 3×2 grid not blocked by another module. For an example of this: the Olympic mounts two sets of biodome pairs; the domes are pretty large and the reason you can’t mount three is that the space that a third would need is crowded out by the other two. You could mount a different 2×1 between the Bio-Dome modules as long as it’s one that has a small footprint.

6 of them. Since they are symmetrical, max 3 different 2x1 modules can be fit. Thanks for the info :)

My Endeavor has the Super Collider, the hangar and is called Ambergris.

It is the flagship if TEST Weapons Research Lab (TWRL). If TWRL doesn't become an official TEST group, it shall be called TEST Weapons Independent Research Lab. (TWIRL).

We are currently working on the TP-20,000 Toilet Paper Gun, the Avocado Cannon, and the first thing I shall do when the ship becomes flyable is throw a big box of fridge magnets into the Collider to see if it turns it into a cap-ship EMP, or if it just explodes a bit.
