Piracy Piracy Division/Squadron Organization Brainstorm

We actually do.
Myself and Frisbeerocker are officially appointed by his Majesty God Emperor Montoya as leaders of all TEST Piracy related activities.
There will be a long post in the coming week regarding all pre-planning for the division as well as discussion for aspects such as structure, rules, etc.
Plan is to start setting some operational guidelines down before 2.6 hits which will allow for some embryonic piracy gameplay and start getting really organised for the upcoming 3.0 patch that will properly implement cargo and piracy mechanics.
Any objections to the above will be met with extreme shit-posting and terrible memes.

well personally I dont mind crewing with other pirates but as far as I understand we're allowed to do our own groups within test thats what the groups section is all about so technically we dont need to be part of that pirate group we could make another pirate group, aslong as we dont attack other test members I think its all good
and i'll follow guide lines but its gonna be a cold day in hell before I let people order me around onboard my ships lol, ok if I'm aboard there ship but if its my ships its my rules and if my crew arnt content with that they are free to jump off the ship :P

Although I'm a bit scared of pirates... I think I'd like to get in on this.
Maybe not on the shooty-killy part, but on cleanup duty with a Cut Red, for the people who will fail terribly at pirating, and a Herald, for info trafficking. I'd also like to do black market surgeries and space drugs. I'll put my ships to work, carrying other people's cargo and staying away from the law.

My thinking as well, but I won't spit upon the guidelines before they are presented. I think that they are more so that our pirate crews don't go around griefing people and so that we know what to do when TEST security shows up. TEST does everything, including play both sides of the coin, so I'm guessing this is to make sure that people don't butt heads together when the 2 groups meet.
With the whole 9 to 1 NPC to player ratio, I don't see us ever really having too much trouble not finding things to pirate.
The existing Ministry of Asset Reassignment Specialists is a Division, not a group. All future pirate groups will be under the commands of the division. Our role will be to organize and guide all piracy and illicit activities, coordinate related groups, and provide for a platform of cooperation between this division and other divisions under the TEST banner, to achieve common TEST goals.
You want to do your own thing? Sure. Just make sure you follow the same rules everyone else under TEST flag is following and answer the god damn phone when it rings.
