My theory is the higher rotation of the tyres makes centrifugal forces throw the rubber outwards, making them rounder and thus taller, so going slowly should give you perhaps an inch which could make all the difference.So what I'm getting from some of those drivers is that if you slow down first then the clearance might magically change?
