That is a very wise decision, but be warned: in my previous life I always used cheap sticks, placed them on my desk. Since I started to upgrade my controls it didn't stay with the controls, I started to modding my setup to optimize my gameplay.
- With the Warthog I placed 2 mounts on my chair for the flight stick and throttle.
- With the rudder pedals I removed the swivel base of my chair and mounted my chair on a solid base on a plate to fix the pedals.
- Because I missed the G13 strafe comfort I build a mount for my G13 and fixed it on my chair, right of my throttle.
- I bought my second Warthog for dual stick setup and fixed it on my throttle mount, moving the throttle to my desk.
- My desk was too far away so I had to make a mousepad on my chair.
- The keyboard also wasn't very practical on my desk so I bought a G410, which barely fitted between my G13 and my right flightstick, I had to make a swiveling mount for it, otherwise I couldn't get up to get a beer while playing.
- I don't use throttle in Arena Commander, but in PU I used it allot, so I had to make a new mount for it, left of my chair, behind the left flight stick

So now I have 7 control fixed to my chair, my control setup is optimized for flight and FPS, I must climb into my chair. After Christmas I will buy a car sport seat and start over again. I'm still looking for the right color. I found some, but no black / yellow.
Hahaha, that's insane! Good work Marc.

The first 2 mounts for the Warthog flightstick and throttle are made from iron sheets. My father made them for me. That is an impossible task for me, I can't weld or even cut iron sheet straight, my father did a bad job passing his knowledge to his sons. This was the kickstart for me.
The rest of the mounts and extensions are plywood, they are fixed on the iron 2 mounts. I can handle wood, no problem :grinning:

I like it. I may start delving into these tradecrafts soon. Once we find out about postings and moving, etc. It may be time to build my playroom. Haha

I really envy you for this fantastic Star Citizen gaming chair, Marc. Its perfect! Really good work!

Well, nearly 1 a.m. over here; gotta go to bed. Played the whole evening Star Craft II (story line, episode 1, 2nd time).
Have a nice night or day, whereever you are!

When it is finished, I will give you the plans. It should fit, if your arms and legs length match mine. That actually was the biggest problem, measurements and angles, but therefor this is only the POC, the improvements will be implemented at the first stable release.

Thats nice of you, thank you, but I think my gaming place is way too tiny for such installations. Its placed in a small corner of our house where also the dog is sleeping. Almost no space for rolling backwards with the chair. Well, its also an old, small house with 95m², built in 1964 when all the prisoners of WW2 came back and simply needed places to live. Anyway, its payable, near Hamburg and also near a huge nature conservation area. :)

It is actually a small compact setup, 50 cm wider then a standard office chair

50 cm is huge! :eyes::grin:

Morning Marc! Anything bought yet during AnniVERSary Sale - I mean, looking to highly overpriced JPEG?
I've - up to now - managed not to put fresh money into the pot. Just buying and melting because basically I'm fine with my fleet. But as you never know I want to ensure keeping the flexibility and opportunity to expand my fleet.
Today, I've bought a CCU Reliant -> Hull C. I first thought about the Hull B, but as I already have a Freelancer MAX the Hull B would not make much sense imho. Thus I made it a Hull C

I only bought CCUs with store cash. I'm no concierge, so I can't experiment too much with CCUs, melting and buyback with store cash

I only bought a few here and there 'cause we are receiving only 1 ingame buyback token per quarter. Every buyback above that we have to pay with real money. Thus in my opinion its not worth it to 15 (or the like) CCUs...

4 p.m., another working day is almost over. But I've been working at home yesterday and today because our son has had abdominal influenza, yay.
Tomorrow things again will be back to normal daily life (hopefully).
