At this point I hope the C8X wins. Originally they should have done the "barrier draw" by random "lotto marble" draw on video, instead of pretty much placing them in categories (in an almost scripted path). I would have liked to have seen the Scorpius Vs C8X could have been interesting.

I figured this would likely be the case when I voted (not long after the poll opened), but voted for the 600i regardless as I don't care about the skins: The 600i would have given better options for WB CCU chains and solo play, but I can see the appeal of some of the features of the Carrack - The 600i rework should help balance things a bit with the tier 2 medbed being added to it (I hope they fix cargo placement, too - 40% of the cargo space requires travelling through "public" areas on the 600i series to load\unload).

Having flown my new Carrack last night for the first time, I've decided Lorville is not a nice place to land - Called it in and got a large hanger with plenty of space, but each time I returned, the allocated hangar had the ship scraping paint off it trying to squeeze in, then getting itself wedged against walls. After the free-fly, I may do a character reset and see which areas have the best hangars for it to land in (suggestions welcome) - Otherwise I'll just need to get used to it, as I can't melt it for a smaller ship.

I'm also curious as to how the cargo pods on the Carrack will open to allow loading\unloading with the cargo refactor...

You might still get to! Reasonable chance this ends up the final round, although I think Carrack v. C8X more likely, by no means guaranteed!

This addition *could* possibly be enough for me to finally want to upgrade my Phoenix to a 600i, though I'm still holding out some hope that CIG will FINALLY go back and update the Connie interior just a bit more to bring it more in line with all the other 'modern' ships, as I would really hate to give up that P-72. . .

The Carrack crewly crushes both Origin contenders taking is place alongside the Scorpius in the Semi-Finals.

Today, The Irrisistable Force meets the Moveable Object - Just how badly will the Raft be beaten? Vote now!

I'm not a fan of the MSR (having to transit "server room" between cockpit and outside of ship, long "tunnel to cockpit", and wasted space for "secret" passages among the reasons for this), but also don't really think that the RAFT should have been included this year (despite enjoying mine) as its main gameplay reason won't be in the game until the cargo refactor, when it can load\unload and transport the larger containers that other ships can't (some may be able to carry them, but will require additional equipment to load or unload them from the ship, which may not be present - outposts, for example) and the fact that an important component of the ship has been "out of order" for several patches (lift once inside ship - works from ground to enter, but once on ship it's unusable and you need to exit via airlock)...

In the end, I went for the RAFT despite expecting it to lose, although I was close to not voting at all..

I'd prefer the scanning station in the forward end of the server bay and the servers in the room where the scaning station is now, but otherwise IMHO. the MSR is just fine.

When it came in my Scoundrel Pack, I had every intention of CCUing it to something else. It looks like it will stay though.

If they are going to make travelling through the "server" area a requirement (rather than having a specific room to one side where they are stored, or placing them in the tunnel system), I'd prefer to see them lining the sides of the corridor to the cockpit along the tunnel - The layout of the MSR seems to waste a lot of space that could be better\more efficiently used in other ways.

While I may eventually add one to my permanent fleet, for IAE I'll either top up my credit to be able to have one for the skin and then promptly melt it, or buy a few WB CCU's to the BIS version of the ship in order to add to CCU chains to get the skin when I finally lock everything in and apply the links (a quick check suggests I'll be needing at least 6 for existing chains), as I don't really enjoy the MSR as much as I do other ships for the gameplay that currently exists in the game.

Good idea, rather than opening doors and traipsing through with shit all over your boots, letting in dust and all sorts of crap. Dickheads wandering around in a dream-like state and fiddling with things they shouldn't be fiddling with.

The question was how much was the Murcury goig to beat the Raft by and the answer was only ever going to be: A lot! Murcury advances to the Semi-Final.

Now the Pisces lines up against the Avenger. Which will advance?

I wonder how many people looked at this before voting over the past few days:
That is not why any ship wins or loses, and it also doesn't really reflect why people buy any particular ship - as you can see in the voting.

The Aegis put up a good fight but the Anvil advances to the Semi-Finals, and the final four!

Now, the New RSI Scorpius takes on the stalwart Carrack.

The Scorpius gave it its all, but was left wanting - the Carrack advances to the final round.

Will it face it's own snub ship? Or can the Crusader give the Carrack competition from outside of its own stable?
