So a matter of curiosity:
What do you filthy TESTies plan on using for a "home base" ship. A ship to walk around in, hang out in, spend a majority of your time in. I envision this ship being a medium size, as I cannot afford a large ass one . . yet. And moddable. I want to be able to make her mine.
Also, there's only so many options on the poll, so I had to nix the large ships. And diversity. And my pride, but no-one cares about that.

Myself, as it stands, I'll probably use a Carrack. But I've considered the Connie, the Caterpiller, the Starfarer, the Merchantman, and even the Redeemer.

For strictly a hangout, I'd love an 890 Jump. So I voted for that.

However, that's a luxury item and not likely to be a high priority, so I'll probably end up with a Carrack first.

I plan to earn an 890 Jump in game, and steal a Corvette or an Idris-M to escort the Bengal when we crash it into the sun.

Not escorting it all the way into the sun, that would be stoopid - just close enough to get some epic space selfies and to hear the lamentations of our enemies.

It would have to be semi mobile at least to move through a field. Thats just logical.

I am extremely intrigued by the Reclaimer. I'm looking forward to touring through one. I bought a CCU (or 3) to one, just for that purpose.

I ate an entire can of nacho cheese today. I'm also about 4 hours from being the first man on mars. Good day if you ask me.

Continuing though, If/when I get a Merchantman, I'll probably be split-timing between the CheeseFarer and the BMM. I wish they'd put out a 2-3 man mining ship the size of a freelancer, that'd be a contender too.

I currently have a BMM CCU just burning a hole in my hanger. I'm really torn as to what ship I want as that home base. BBM, Carrack, Caterpillar and Starfarer are all great options. And apparently that BMM will be fast.
I'm guessing it'll end up depending on which ship is flight ready first. So I may be melting that package back down and CCUing to Starfarer, as it looks to be number one out the gate.

At present it looks like it will be an Avenger for me. Caterpillar would be preferred because of all the modularity but it'll probably end up being the Connie as its likely going to be the largest ship that can be flown solo without having some major someone's-coming-to-take-it-off-you issues, as you can land the damn thing on a station.
