There's no evidence the thieves move. There is lots of evidence that cars stolen in the US end up in Africa and Eastern Europe.

In this case I don't understand your argument at all. My argument was - thieves in US can't keep stolen cars (they have to sale them .. disassemble them etc. . but CAN NOT KEEP) but still stole them .. your contra-argument is what ?

Ah thanks .. I missed this point. And I agree that "migration" of the ships would be quite logical way of explaining their disappearance in game w/o breaking the lore
