Thanks! The barcode isn't working with my scanner app though on screen, it's a code 128 linear code.. might have to try something else there
Oh! this might come in handy, I use it every now and then and chosen right it do produce valid barcode of what ever you put in to it :smile:
Even if result is encrypted it it give you a barcode of that encryption :smile:
Chose on the left what type of barcode you want then enter the numbers text or what ever in box and you have the barcode to the right

I tried to see if QR code would work.. it does with the right scanner but I don't like how this looks
Even added in black overlaid background behind codes to make sure they're easier to scan.

The QR code is ugly AF. .... the 128 barcode by itself looks like PCIE pins.. which I think is more cool looking.

Yes I do think you need a fairly even and darker color just behind the code to make it easy to read, could be enough to add a darken layer under the code over background picture just making it darker but still visible.I compared, barcodes match:

I'll be able to attend the CFN when i'll receive the mounting plates for my x56 from monstertech (it's been a month i ordered them and i'm getting a bit upset, german efficiency is not as gud as before)

Yes that is correct, you can not invert the barcodes color a barcode scanner only read the dark part so if dark get light and vice versa.
Then you got a totally new code most likely not readable for the scanner or you end up with some scrambled result.
That is a good way to scramble a barcode if the receive is the only one knowing which part/s of a barcode that need to be reverted in color to read it with a scanner, it will make it very hard to crack for those who get hand of it that it was not intended for.
Not impossible but very hard and a cool way to scramble a text message in plain sight :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Bar codes normally start and end with the same special character.
