I honestly don't pay attention to that display. I don't really look at anything besides my own shields.Did they add back in the display that says which of an opponent's shields are damaged?

Yeah, mine also can be taken apart, only nobody demands to get accommodated where I set-up mine :grin:I made a ghetto SIM pit out of about $100 worth of home depot material that my conscience wouldn't let me steal from work. It slides around easily and can be taken apart and stored when silly relatives show up and demand accomodation. Definitely doable for someone on a budget or with limited space...
You mean in the ships HUD? that depends on the ship you are flying. Sometimes I don't even see which ship I have targetedDid they add back in the display that says which of an opponent's shields are damaged?
You can divert shield power to any shield, only difference is amount of shields. The Hornet has 2 shields, front and aft, the Super Hornet has 4 shields, front, aft, left and right. Bigger ships also can have top and bottom shield.I'm loving the verbal commands for the shields(vid 3, Vanduul Swarm), but I am shocked. It sounds like he is directing where the shield energy goes. When he says "shield's forward" I thought that was a Tevarrin capability not found on other shield systems. He's flying a Hornet, so what is that all about?
It's beautiful....Yeah, mine also can be taken apart, only nobody demands to get accommodated where I set-up mine

It really takes no space, without fridge and airco it is length x width x height 2.20 x 1.50 x 1.70.Now I want one but I don't have the space :(
That will change the first time you attack a large ship with heavy shields. If it takes say, 15k points to kill each of 6 shields on a StarG, you will have reasons to focus fire on just one until it is down and then slip your Arrester III through that hole.I honestly don't pay attention to that display. I don't really look at anything besides my own shields.
I don't get how there can be so much variation. Are you sure they haven't been changing it back and forth? Last vid I saw of a Vanguard in Vanduul Swarm, it had no readout of enemy craft condition and you would expect all the Aegis products to have that. You mean in the ships HUD? that depends on the ship you are flying. The Tevarrin shields are supposed to be different. . .something about how you can actually move the entire shield, so you have double or triple coverage over a portion of your craft. The Prowler is supposed to have such shields, that make it deadly in combat when handled properly. In other ships you alter the recharge rates by varying power flow, but in the Prowler you can actually move a damaged shield back and two others forward, etc.You can divert shield power to any shield, only difference is amount of shields. The Hornet has 2 shields, front and aft, the Super Hornet has 4 shields, front, aft, left and right. Bigger ships also can have top and bottom shield.
Working on the tabletsDo those tablets give you the ability to adjust ingame elements or are they just for looks?
The Warthogs don't have any twist, like almost no high end flight stick has, so the rudder pedals are primary for roll and secondary strafe forward backward. And with the two joysticks what do the peddles do?
I just shoot cockpits and engines with ballistics, lol. I don't really care if their side shields are low. That will change the first time you attack a large ship with heavy shields. If it takes say, 15k points to kill each of 6 shields on a StarG, you will have reasons to focus fire on just one until it is down and then slip your Arrester III through that hole.
In MechWarrior that readout was necessary all the time. If you shoot randomly at a Mech it will take 5X the pounding as if you focus on one leg, etc. Same will be true of fighters but if you are not in a position to focus fire like that, it would not matter. Ships that can take great pounding are those that make a difference--not Vanduul fighters.

Given the guns and shields on the Prowler, I think it is going to see service as more than a drop ship.
I'm checking that out right now, there is a lot difference in HUD layout, also head position to get some MFDs visible.I don't get how there can be so much variation. First engines, unless they are protected by turrets :wink:I shoot turrets, cockpits, and engines. Whatever the enemy hands me first
I've seen yours on other posts. Your Sim Pit Kung-Fu is strong.Yeah, mine also can be taken apart, only nobody demands to get accommodated where I set-up mine

If I'm fighting a Starfarer, I can just take out the cheeks with a couple of shots from my combines. Those turrets are so weak and normally facing me, lol.First engines, unless they are protected by turrets
@marcsand2, I really like the convenient empty beer storage so you can keep track of consumption. We all know that until the shelf is half full your only flying at less then optimal efficiency. I assume there is a beer holder by the joystick somewhere. The comment about removing the fridge sounds like sacrilege! Do you drink warm beer?
Hah, you didn't see my latest expansion!!!I've seen yours on other posts. Your Sim Pit Kung-Fu is strong.

When ill and too tired to fly, it gets uncomfortable too put the feet on or between the pedals. That is my sleeping module
I tried to order them a little bit by manufacturer. The bad thing is, when you don't have TrackIr, you wont be able to take a quick peek on the lower MFDs. You even must lean forward to get a good view because your head moves inside your helmet and the helmet obstructs view on the MFDs.I don't get how there can be so much variation.
The shelf can hold 48 bottles, 3 rows of 16 bottles, sooooo at a half full shelf...... :sleeping:We all know that until the shelf is half full your only flying at less then optimal efficiency.
