Some are speculating that the ST was a stealth version that got scrapped and now think its like the "Sports" model of the ship, as no dedicating racing ships have turrets thus far. But then again, there are no racing ships of this size yet either.

So yes, the MR does have more capabilities, but basic (ES) does have L radar, L fuel tank & Quant tank, and extra shield Gen. Could be more useful for those who won't plan to do interdiction/piracy.

Like I posed on the YT vid... since it already looks like a turret, what I think would be a cool idea is if it had magnetic clamps on it that allowed it to fasten itself to larger vessles to essentially be an extra manned turret on its hull. As in purpose built, and not what we can sort of do...

IMO, medical is going to need separate focus areas/teams. SAR work is very different from medical. I plan to do a bit of everything but with this character plan to mostly focus on getting as high of level as medical proficiency as I can... doctor/surgeon (or whatever the ratings/quals turn...
