Capes are actually extended heat-exchange surfaces for your energy weapons. The capes are made out of Graphine.

I came home late and haven't had time to do more than log on and run around the space station. How much has the performance improved for everyone else? I literally just put in an SSD and upgraded my memory to 32gbs tonight, I put SC on the SSD. When I was in Port Osilar I was getting 45-60fps when before I was getting 5-15. How much of that is the new build and how much of that is the new parts?
Thats 50% SC being better than ever and 50% your new hardware.

Well like many others with inferior systems I thought I would try it and see how much difference OCS makes (before I couldn't play at all), so anyways the net result was error 15006. I know its alpha what did I expect and so on.
I was getting error 15006 as well, but logout/login seems to allow me into the servers. Delivery missions were busted, so not much to do in my faithful Aurora... Still the framerate has improved, no doubts there.
is just me or the ships stays in the place where you leave them? i mean, i used to call my cutlass use it a bit, and then when the landing thing didn't work, in order not to get crime status i just leave it near the station in the space, i call the sabre, and the cutlass disappear, now, i can even have 2 cutlass... wtf? i had one in lavisky and another in Grim hex, outside area of course.... also... they make enemies harder to kill, so now the kill missions are a good training.

Melted everything. Got a Cutlass. Digging myself out of poverty one cargo load at a time. The way these prices are, making a living hauling cargo with an Aurora is not possible.
