Ive been thinking about getting a Sabre,
My heart wants to buy a Sabre as well ...
Do it. Pew pew. I can't wait to get home, install 2.1, and check out my Sabre. I freaking love the look of that bad boy. Less thinking... Says the guy who started the thread and has been over thinking ships for a week straight. Haha.
i may melt my vanguard for...

Pkg 315p
4 $45 packages

To allow for 5 npc crew runnin around on the BMM or providing escort... Hrm, thoughts?
Seems like a real waste to me. IMHO, you'll have a bunch of starter ships laying around gathering dust. Maybe one or two extra packages for the player NPCs, but I doubt the cost of NPCs in game will be exorbitant.
Does anyone remember how much the BMM is/was? I'm very much considering melting my tali and 325 for it if it shows up.
$250 for stand alone. Almost too good to pass up. I may buy the upgrade package from Redeemer and just hold on to it.

Hrm then maybe vanguard to DUR, mustang, aurora packages. Eliminates one of my 4 combat ships, gives me an explorer, and 3 Obligatorily Friendly Minions.

I have decided to remain celibate this time around. The vast majority of the ships I own are not even hangar ready yet, and won't be for at least a year. What I am going to do is start a paper SC journal discussing ship performance, tactics and other philosophies. But right now, all of this seems like just daydreaming because I find it difficult to tell the performance differences between many of these ships, particularly the "fighters". And the Warlock seems to be a one trick pony that makes a cool noise, but may require a lot of tactical choreography to employ correctly. So, I shall probably keep it in my pants this time(my wallet, you dirt bags. What did you think I was talking about?).

I like you fleet. Actually sounds quite nice. Adding a DURp would apply make it perfect. That or an Aquila. But you'll probably get more bang for your buck with the DURp, as you can then get a couple of your packages, which you seem keen on.

I've personally decided on the Redeemer as my third mainstay ship, to complement my Sabre and my DURp (Aurora package and P72 LTI are also in my hanger). My plan is to buy a BMM CCU during the sale, and just hold onto it. That way I can use the Redeemer, as it'll be flight ready before the BMM, and if I want, I can CCU to the BMM when she's finally ready. If in don't like the BMM, I can CCU back to the Redeemer. Easy. From what I've read, the Redeemer is supposed to get quite modular. So that'll be cool. And she looks bad ass.

I really really really fucking like the Carrack though. And I'm tempted to buy an upgrade from Redeemer to that as well, and just hold onto it. But the goddamm Canadian dollar is horrible, so that little upgrade will cost me a much needed Christmas money... And it leaves me nothing to work towards in game. Haha.

My plan is to not spend any more money this sale. Strictly using melted and store credits. Unless I get that Carrack upgrade. Haha. I spent enough during the anniversary sale. Damn you CR. ;) Just kidding, I love you. Here, take my family's food.

Agreed, math says im about $25 from a grand and i've decided this is a bad thing. So theyll get $5 more from me for my vanguard->DUR, MBeta, and Aurora Cl. Then i gotta sit back.

Redeemer is great and may as well get those CCUs, had 4 before Q4 overtime came about. Now have 4 and both ships o.O

I actually dont like the completionist package content for 15k :(

Yeah, I hadn't realized how much I'd put downrange on this game. $625 USD. That's like $864,582.87 Canadian. Damn exchange rate. Fuck. My wife is going to kill me. Haha.

Yeah, I'll pick up as many of those CCUs as is feasible. Keep my options open. I can only fly one at a time, so there's no sense having more then a few ships.

I just upgraded my cutlass black to a base Freelancer, to better compliment my Reliant Tana. I had a $15 store credit, and the upgrade was $10. The freelancer seems like more of a cargo ship and less of a fighter than the Cutlass, but thats why I have the Tana

Freelancer. Because Freelancer. I love mine. It's pretty. I doubt you'll regret it

It makes the game crash when I try to enter it, and I can't change the loadout on the holotable in the hangar. Plus. the cutlass gave me all the hangar options while the lancer only has aeroview and sefland

It's at the same price point as the Hornet, so you can switch between them for free until the Freelancer is fixed.

My advice to OP is to get a Starfarer Gemini. Make sure it's LTI, though. :p
It's still on the list. I have an LTI Freelancer MIS to upgrade. Only 30 bucks to get there. I was looking at the Gemini, but I think the faster/more maneuverable/more modable/more cargo capacity/cheaper standard Starfarer is a better deal.

Hmmmmm, haven't experienced that. Probably because I'm on holidays and my computer is 3492km away. Sigh.

So about this sale...
I want to get a Reliant Sen. Or a Starfarer. Or an Endeavor. Well, not really an Endeavor (I told my wife what it cost and she said "Haha. No.")
I'm waiting to hear from our fellow testie, Salt Lake, about purchasing an LTI package. If that's not available, I'll get any LTI ship that he has for sale and upgrade it to one of the ships I want. So I'm hoping this sale won't put me more than ~ 100 EUR in the hole.
Stay safe and mind your wallets!
