Just looked up how to make scotch eggs. My brothers and sisters across the pond are genius! The most innovative use of a fryer that my American brethren can come up with is frying a snicker bar…gag.
No one's really lived until they've tried my 3 day roasted beef. Hard to explain what condensing 10litres of beer & leg over the stove for that long does, like a sweet garlicky savoury rich smokey syrup glaze.

Been meaning to have my other half dig me a hole in the clay to try it in an earth oven. Maybe this year

Edit:
Got lost in my own head; meant to say, "yeah we cook so bad it's good over here"

Mate...best food I had when I was in the was in the UK years ago was Indian food in East London. A nice lamb Biryani from some place off Brick Lane. Arguably some of the best food I had in that European trip. Granted I spent quite a bit of time in Central and Eastern Europe and it was meat, potatoes, and meat/potatoes wrapped in dough. How many damn versions of pierogi/perogy/varenyky are there!?

Best food I had in the UK was a cake called "Death by Chocolate".
Aptly named too I'd say.
Chocolate splitters in a cocoa infused dough drenched in chocolate sauce and garnished with all kinds of chocolate
based decorations.
You gain 5 pounds before the first bite.
Totaly worth it though.
