You are thinking of attacking, I am thinking of EVAC. If an idris crash-lands on some Tyrol wasteland and that damn star is going to go SuperNova any minute, you grab as many survivors as you can and run for it.Ok, so if you use 15min of your EVA suit's oxygen in the ship on the way there, you are only left with 15 minutes of O2 when you step out of the ship.... this is why using your suit's oxygen in a ship crammed full of WAY more people than it's life support systems can handle is a terrible idea.
A suit with 30mins is still a suit with 30mins. Small ops may be over in 30mins but not a full scale battle. You'd need to rotate several groups sending them in for 10mins a piece.
Operations wise, it would be very similar to where Halo Jones found herself in the 2000AD comic-strip "The Ballad of Halo Jones" - having joined the infantry just to have a job in a galaxy on the downturn, after Basic she was sent direct to Battlezone 1 - a planet called Moab, where the gravity was so high they had to wear suits armored against the gravity rather than the enemies bullets, and if a suit was hit it was compromised and imploded, turning its wearer into a red puddle a few yards wide. Not favorable conditions for survival.
Also, in an airless environment, you'll need a suit so armored you may as well be in a vehicle because if the suit is breeched, you are dead without being injured.
I don't see infantry maneuvers being much of a thing outside of a base/atmosphere, and if the UEE thinks going to war on a planet where the atmosphere is lethal to humans but not the foe, you may as well pack up and go home.
P.S. the Scourge Rail Gun will eat through infantry. Om Nom Nom.
