Not cold here in Colorado, but a good snow dumping this morning. Had to skip the coffee so I could shovel.

Time for my afternoon coffee break.

@Blind Owl , congrats on finding a house! that seems fast. Last time my wife and I went house shopping it tooks us 4 months to find what we wanted. Of course, we were not up against the clock either, as we were still in a house.

Thanks Graptor. Yeah, it's nuts, but we looked at around 50 houses in 3.5 days. Took a while to find what we wanted, but we got it. Thank God. Now to finalize and get the family moved across the country. Woohoo.

Wow, that are 14 houses per day!!!! I hope with the 50 houses you also include the houses you see on internet / at the broker: "nope, won't do it, skip it right away, we don't have to look at it anymore"

14 houses per day, jeeeez @Blind Owl ... :astonished: Was it like a "closed geographical range" where those houses stand? Or had you to drive along a kind of "red line" across the whole town? I'm asking because - 14 houses?! Lets say 45 minutes visiting time for each house + 20 minutes of "transition time" to get to the next house, thats about 15 hours...without any pause for taking some lunch or the like. Your son is with the grandparents, I guess...?

Haha. Thanks Sam. You make me smile.
*microphonecracks* Sir? Yes, Sir, mission successful accomplished; over and out.

Uhhh Coffee please...
Sames here....please...ouh...erm...I'm the one who has to serve it?? DamnIhatethosedays....

Nope. We walked into every single one. Haha

Yes. Our real-estate agent had the houses broken up by areas each day. East day 1, west day 2, far west day 3, etc etc etc. There was rarely 20 minutes of transition time, as Kingston is only about 120000 people - a nice small city. And some houses we walked into and said no immediately. Maybe 10 minutes max on some. Longer if we liked it.

Time for the afternoon coffee break.... and a question for you all...

I am curious. Most of you here have been around for a while. I've only been flying for a couple weeks now, so everything is brand new. I am curious about your experience when you first started flying. I'm in a starter Mustang Alpha (and no budget for additional ships right now). I've loaded it with a few configurations, the M3A's, the Longswords, the Bulldogs, and combinations of them. I am not very successful at killing pirates. I get one occasionally, but really not very consistently. I fly well enough that they don't shoot me down (anymore).

What's the recollection from you as to the ramp up of being able to hit them effectively with under powered weapons? And BTW, I did start a thread in General Discussions around the loadout of the Alpha, so I'm not trying to repeat that conversation here, just looking for good stories.

I just noticed that I don't have an avatar, and everyone else does. Guess I have a mission to look for something for that as well now...:eyes:

When I started flying the Mustang it was quite fragile (it probably still is). Didn't try many loadouts but I can tell you that you just have to practice. Though it will always be harder to kill with such a ship than with let's say a hornet xD. What helped me to better hit is turning down the mouse-sesitivity and to fix the gimbals.

Evasion is the power of light ships, stay close on their six and use them as target practice. Don't lower your throttle, just use strafe to keep a good firing distance. Finish of the lighter ones first, otherwise they will stick on YOUR ass. Practice in Vanduul Swarm. the Vanduuls use light ships in masses, good for target practice.
