The Gaming 7 mobo is the one I've been considering if I decide to build an i7 rig this year.

Had a chance to kill a MSI Z97 Xpower last weekend. Kept trucking till I hit nearly 2900W of total draw. Quite the board.

DAMN.
That's alot of power! How'd you draw that much and what failed first?

Massive Props to MSI for all that, certainly gonna keep their name in mind as I slowly browse for a newer computer...

Z97 on LN2, 4x 290X Lightnings @ 1.9V (Each pull about 700W at full tilt, LN2 as well), 6000RPM Delta fans, DDR3 3640. Board died first, taking the CPU with it. All part of the risk so no worries.

I feel like you could heat a small apartment complex off the waste heat from that rig, at least until it blew up. From there, it's either find new heating source, or flee the building as it catches fire from the small nova of computing hubris.

I have the same rig daily, just a few part swaps and much lower voltages on water vs ln2. Daily it draws around 1500w. I heat about 800SF of house with it alone. When it runs the furnace barely turns on here.
