Honestly, there will be lots and lots and lots of Drake Cutlass' flying around in the verse lateron, and only the smallest share will be flown by pirates. Therefore I think it will make no difference at all. As for the Cat, I am unsure currently. But when CIG dropped the first thoughts about laying a status penalty on her, then I think the Cat will also become an often seen transporter. I assume that because of her defence capabilities, which is imho a huge plus in opposite to the Hull series, especially A + B.

My thoughts exactly. I have a Hull B for hauling but I might just CCU to the Cat just for those defensive capabilities. Plus it being modular whose to say it has to be all cargo. Maybe add a salvage module in case u find stuff between shipping destinations.
I already feel deep shame for what I've spent already. So no. :(

I somehow wish they'll up the Caterpillar's price to $300. I know it sounds retarded to wish for that, but here's why.
I now have a Buccaneer and a Starfarer. If I CCU the Bucc, that'll cost me ~$135 (which I don't have). I can't downgrade the Starfarer, and I can't melt it either (would get $195 for a $300 CCU value ship).
I need to start playing the lottery.
Or befriend wealthy people.
Or strip for cash.
Or sell drugs.
