Hello TESTies

3.7 is imminent now and I’m on the market to expand my fleet again ( waiting for the sale )

So my question is, now we know what’s in 3.7 what will be your main focus of this patch? What will be your main type of gameplay and what ship or ships will help you achieve this ?

I’m looking to gather peoples thoughts around what they’ll use to accomplish these missions.

I myself plan on shared missions with cargo runs as this isn’t something I’ve attempted yet, for this I would use my cutlass black for now., I’ll also be doing bounty missions which my warden is the boss of right now.

First person ?

My usual cargo hauling to make money, but once at a comfortable level will prolly switch to exploring the planets for the "hidden" caves, finally something to explore for.
What do you use to cargo run?

I need to do more exploring, I only found grim hex because someone told me about it.

I usually start out exploring around to see what's changed, including with some of my ships. Then mining to get some cash (if it's working)... After that primarily trade runs, missions, mining, possibly some combat... whatever I'm in the mood for. This patch I intend to do some FPS mining just to get more used to it. (I've had only 30 minutes or so in PTU this time around)

I'll look for missions (see if there's anything new) to make some money doing cargo/box runs, and then try other stuff once I've armed my ship and myself properly.
If the ship renting thing finally drops, I'll aim for one to rent and try different stuff, like mining with a prospector or smuggling...

As I'm a pacifist of convenience, I'm going to trade up my Warden to a Sentinel to enjoy its mostly distortion loadout.

I also like the idea of an EMP in the Vanguard, I think turning that on will make those punk-ass light fighters back off far enough to not be able to out-turn me, which has been my weakness in AC. If they get in close and start orbiting you can't do shit about it so an EMP starting up should have them running for the hills with my distortion rounds chasing them.

I am hoping to actually have time to play for the first time during 3.7, if I can get a gaming machine together. To start I want to explore the bounty hunting missions with a Sentinel/Harbinger/Hoplite. That would be my first ship: one of the three with the BUKs for the other two. I may start with the Hoplite since it has more HP in the hull. Certainly I'll spring for a selection of weapons and two of the new S2 Banu shields. Those shields are insane, BTW. If I have to buy a Defender to get hold of them, then I guess that's what I have to do. See Hardpoint. Also see the new Ballistic Repeaters that come with the Hoplite. Pretty nice, but I still like the Scorpions. 8 S3 missiles, 2 of each of the 4 types to start until I know all their issues. IMHO, now is the time to get good with missiles, while they don't cost anything, and locking missiles at 10 km sounds like great fun. You just pick up new missiles flying Pirate Swarm or some such?

In 3.7 the Singes have been made Banu-Only and the lore has indicated the shield in the Defender will be Banu and Tevarin Only.

I've been unable to have a consistent game in the ptu, it usually disconnects me just as i land somewhere then i have to go through the whole process again.

I'll look for missions (see if there's anything new) to make some money doing cargo/box runs, and then try other stuff once I've armed my ship and myself properly.

So in the tpu right now only select ships are available to be rented, biggest being the 600i, do you know if we will get the same renting ships in the release of 3.7 or whether it will be all ships ?

The Shared Missions work great (and are lots of fun) - sharing the cargo profit is not in game yet - unfortunately.
Didn't know that, that actually sucks a little, would i be able to create a job for my mates to escort me and i could pay them on completion or is that not a thing yet ?

Had a go the other day but im not quite sure how to set off the emp, think i'll have to have a read up on it.

If this is a genuine question and not rhetorical then yeah you can get them in ac but one refill at a time and not all ships drop them.

I still like hanging out with you buggers in the 'verse. Until there's exploration or reclamation, that will do me just fine.
I want a reclaimer but cant justify the cost to fly about until the salvaging comes.

RDR2, I will see you in 3.8.5
RDR2 will take over for me, i smashed it out on ps4 and loved every minute of the campaign, not so much the online though.
