Is this not a broken money creating loop? Couldn't you just keep buying the double pack and selling them with a little profit off the top?

I don't think so. The ships stay part of the package so you get $70 worth of ships you can upgrade but the cash value is still only $65.

But if you melt two ships (That are worth full value) then you could buy the dragonfly package and CCU to the same ships and have $5 left in store credit.

No. They melt for the value you bought them. My current Caterpillar, for instance. Is only worth 220 melted, as I used some tricks upgrading it. But I saved money upgrading it. So as long as I don't melt, I retain that upgraded value.

Couldn't resist! I bought a few packages so I'll have spares available after drunk crashing, and still have some extras to share with friends. :)
Also remember, you can get a Dragonfly LTI and ccu it to a Caterpillar if you just want that ship with LTI :rolleyes:

Yes we know, but just telling for people that may be only interested in getting the caterpillar LTI and not the dragonflies with LTI since it's a cheaper option.
So just an update on my own situation; I melted my 4 yellowjacket single packs and bought 2 dual packs (and made both yellow) I now have 4 LTI tokens waiting in buyback for the future need be and have the $10 I wasted buying singles, sitting in store credit. I feel redeemed.

I would not intentionally buy a Redeemer even if I were using someone else's money. Should I find myself with money enough that one is in a package I get, it will be CCU'd.
