Haha, indeed they did. But now, in opposite to yesterday evening, you can't CCU back - from Prospector to MAX - anymore. You watch the booby traps! Hahaha
P.S.: you currently have to get additionally Prospector -> Hornet Tracker, Hornet Tracker -> lancer MAX CCU for going back (costs are 0).
Good thing I'll never, ever, ever give up my prospector. Ever.

Well I got quite a few $0.00 CCU's for the future and after some melting, I got the Prospector that I was wanting.
Then I bought "a couple" of 85X for LTI tokens And I already had some credit so I waited till the Finale to snag either an Orion or a Reclaimer. The Reclaimer lost out. Then the Cutlass was whistling at me before I could buy the Orion. I made the mistake of asking my wife which one looked cooler. She asked why not both? Wrong question. I think I'm gonna be paying for this for quite a while.
All told. I "only" spent $250.00 in cash this week. After the holidays will come the slow bleed to buy back the ones in storage.

I wanted to get a Carrack to Phoenix ccu, but they weren't available, I guess cause it's a limited ship. so I'll go with the Hull D for now. Unless someone wants to buy my Carrack/D?

Yay! I spent £0!!!

I did a load of melting and bought a few CCUs to get what I want.

I also melted everything and started from scratch with a 2.5/2.6 loadout of mainly fighter ships. I think it's a long time before we'll see 3.0 land so no point in having loads of cargo ships and non flyable ships lying around.

Current Fleet is:
Titan Renegade
Sabre Comet
Super Hornet
Vanguard Harbinger

I shamelessly got all 4 fancy painted ships and some other stuff, didn't have anything to melt after the Gladius exchange so ended up spending $660.00.

But now I have a Sabre, Avenger, Gladiator, MPUV, P-72, and a Hornet missile boat. I don't think I'll be buying anything else for a while though, I think I'm pretty well set for anything except mining or large scale cargo.

Well, you're set for combat, that's for sure. :)

(PS: Nope, I didn't buy a Javelin nor Idris. I don't need a capital ship.)

Should I get a Vanguard? I have a Sabre, but I haven't really flown fighters much.
Depends on your playing style. The Sabre is a pure medium fighter, relying on its stealth, speed and agility, while the Vanguard is a big sluggish long range fighter, relying on its shields and firepower.
With the Sentinel BUK, Harbinger BUK and hopefully Hoplite BUK it also can be refitted as Electronic warfare, bomber or dropship.

Hmm, I may switch to the Harbinger since I like my bulky ships. But I'll do some flying in-verse to test first.

I picked up CCUs to the Sentinel and Harbinger just in case.
