I tried to reach SOL, but ran out of fuel 4 systems into my journey and I am now hovering near a sun without anything else in that system. How do I kill myself?

There's a command for self-destruct somewhere in the controls section.

alternatively, you can also try to "crash" into the sun... it'll never happen as system will automatically kick in to drop you out of hypercruise, but sustained overheating MAY destroy your ship.

it's a lot funner than shuffling through your menu. but I know there's option to do so.

I picked up an account, and am in Elite Dangerous with a Sidewinder and Eagle. I sank an Asp in a Low Intensity War Zone, alongside some other ships. I earned 44k in credits from that sortie alone, when I was doing a warzone contract with payout one-thirds what I earned. :D

Name's NKato in the game. I'm mostly puttering around near the starter systems, currently docked up at Ackerman Market as we speak.

I picked this up today, no idea how to play, no idea where I was, flew out to be scanned by many ships, flew 70ly to meet a friend, got interdicted twice, ended up at a station with no small enough pads to land, went to another, slowly wiggled back into the station with some aid from the automated wall guidance system at the cost of some paint and finally landed. Had to stop for the night because I was a nervous wreck.
