if you need to save some money, and you have some tools and a just a bit handy, the slide rail itself and some if not most of the mount stuff, can be bought super cheap at a place that sells extruded aluminum.

be sure to get the heavy duty arm and joint for the ultrawide. Myself i got the Ergotron HX with HD pivot.

sadly here in europe foam board is super expensive. think i paid 10 dollars for an A4 (printer paper) sized piece. regarding magnets, i'm definitely thinking that's the way i'm going to go, as it makes things easy to move... :D
