They haven't mapped those out for the other systems yet, which is to be expected. So, I just looked at a bunch of the systems and the only one with a threat level was Stanton.
I'm sure things will change over time. It won't remain static. So, I just looked at a bunch of the systems and the only one with a threat level was Stanton.
and their women. Don't forget their women.I agree with this, we will take their land, we will take their ships, we will take their name!
it would be a good idea for people new to the game to stay with the fleet and learn the basics while they can get ammo and fuel for free and get used to fighting while they have the AAA from the turrets of javalins and idrises. so i figure a place like nyx would be good for that plus since its industrial we could teach people how to do trade missions from our own homei tend to agree, nothing super hostile. id rather not have to be on my guard while at home or make it too easy for others to cause us grief
Hadrian is extremely high security, and is also riddled with minefields. It's unsafe for pretty much everyone. I wouldn't suggest it.Well I'm late to the party but I officially put Hadrian in for consideration. It's one or two jumps away from quite a few systems of interest including Nyx, Pyro, Terra, and Stanton which gives a good balance of legal and illicit activities...and it's close to Xi'an territory / the "north" edge of the known galaxy...which is good for explorers and traders.
And c'mon...setting up base in an abandoned minefield with two gas giants to provide us fuel and a local station converted to a trading post? Sounds like a solid place to repeatedly crash into things to me.
good, it will be a source of incomeMy biggest reason to say "no" to Nyx is because every pirate and their mom is going to go there, you know it's going to happen don't even lie to me.
I need to spend some time on the map and look around a bit more. I agree with you that a ton of orgs will be going for that area just for the minerals. Isnt there are something like 3000 orgs (dont quote me on that number just thought I heard that from the live stream.) I know we have the numbers to try to carve out our own system but with the instancing and limited number of systems we might be forced to have a roommate or two.One of the problems with Odin is that it's so unique, in that it's got one of the largest untapped deposits of minerals in that sector of the galaxy, and that means a lot of organizations are going to be racing to be the first to successfully exploit it.
The challenge? The mineral fields are also where electrical storms happen, and can fry your ship.
Ultimately, if the north is heavily competed, we're better off looking south and/or east. That is to say, we can look around Terra, or around Leir/Fora. The alternative is to leverage our numbers to our advantage, and push people out of Odin in order to maximize our profits. Thoughts?
