Sam, I'll take an extra large, extra strong, blacker than Hades heart coffee.
Count me in on that! Make it a double. I got up at 3:30 AM for a 6 AM flight to San Francisco. And it's raining here on top of that. And to add to the insult, the meeting I came here early for is cancelled, so I just get to work in a hotel (without any 1 1/2 year olds @Blind Owl) until the welcome dinner for the conference tonight.

Make it a triple.

Damn, I'm MAJOR puzzzzzzzzled...
Mission accomplished :grin::grin::grin:

As SCADA engineer I draw nice functional pictures, script, configure.
As PLC engineer I can be called a PLC programmer, but I also can be called application engineer.
As Technical Automation I truly am a programmer.
All above isn't possible without PCs or network, that is where I do IT hardware and networks.
When shit hits the fan, die Kakke ist am dampfen, stront aan de knikker, then I'm a shit digger.

Can you combine all above in one job description? If yes, then you are a genius and I finally know what I do for a living :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I've you love to live with a 1.5 year old - wait until they passed the 8, 9 or 10. Its so cool to make "big boy stuff" like tree branch fights in the wood, stealth firecracker actions on the day before silvester/New Years Eve or watching Luke burned parents ("woah! Look at that! Cool stuff!") while eating another kilo of potato chips, haha :D
My wife often shakes her head, telling me "I wonder: are you his dad or his brother??".
Well, since he hasn't a brother - yeah, I have to fill both rolls, haven't I?

Cheers, have a good one!

They intended to make a new job description for me, technical specialist, but job descriptions are hard to make. I must let you talk to my boss about the 6 - 7k

My employer is one of the biggest german companies. I'm working here since 17 years, and inbetween I looked around for "better options". As it turned out, the level of monthly salary is way above those of small or mid sized companies. So you can choose: do I want to have a job for the fun but less money - or do I want to have a higher "stress level" but moar money?

Due to my monthly costs especially for the house, I finally choose the second option. Though I'm unsure if I will reach retirement age. But I'm always telling me: I had - in a positive way - a hell of a good youth, lots of party and fun. The rest of my life is work and concern, manage everything in a good way, all for the kids; minor fun for me. But as I said: I've had my fun. And when I'll die someday its of no further interest for me ;)

I like my coffee like I like my women, hot, large, and free trade- wait, whaa..?

I woke up to severe thunder storms and a flash flood warning. No run for me today. Time to work on the lo' simply, I guess.
*sigh* I think I will restart the old running machine aka me in one or two weeks. Paused with sports for almost a year, but I think that - even if it won't be 20 or 30 km anymore - 5 to 10 km won't hurt my physis ;)
Have a good day @Just Jake !

I've been in San Francisco for about 24 hours now and it's rained every minute that I have been here. Did I fly to Seattle by mistake? No going for a walk/run here.
Sounds awful. When do you leave?

I need a waffle... and a cup of tea... yep, tea. This timezone thing is tougher then I imagined x.x
Where are you? Back in Europe?

I think I hurt my knee on the elliptical the other day. I get a sharp pain when I bend my knee and pull gently in one direction. I hope it's not my tendon...

I'm here all week. Be back in Colorado on Friday. My wife tells me the weekend is supposed to be 70 degrees F (I guess that's about 20 Celsius?). BTW, it stopped raining about mid-day, so 48 hours of pouring rain.

I ran out of coffee so now I am drinking beer. it's not quite the same?
I'll call it the same. I've switched to beer now too. Nothing like all day in a sales conference  to drive one to the beer rather than the coffee! :beers:

Day 2 of sales conference. Heading for that triple espresso now... And yes, it's raining again in San Francisco. I think we were dry for about 6 hours yesterday. Glad I'm not here to be a tourist.
